7-27-08 Just a word of advice for all the single dads...Most of you will make sure to put in your profile that you have children and they are put first in your life. Any man that knows what a true relationship is made out of knows that yes, your children are important but the love of your life will tire very quickly of being always 2nd in line. When it comes to the family structure...not dating, family structure, a husband is the head of the household, wife next, then the children. It was designed that way from the "beginning" and it is the only way things will work. If you are interested I would love to elaborate for you and tell you exactly where my "opinion" comes from and why I believe that way....You might consider changing your profile otherwise you may be scaring alot of prospects away. Again, I'd love to elaborate for you and perhaps then you will understand.

After being on this site for awhile now, I've noticed that one common question is "what is it that you want"??? I know exactly what I want and will share it here but I'm sure it won't be the typical answer of most women as most women really don't know what their wants and needs are...to help me articulate it into words I am using an excerpt out of a book by one of my favorite authors, Dr. Gary Smalley...The following is a list of things I cannot live without and therefore the exact opposite is the things that I fear in my personal life. If you are truly honest with yourself, you will find that this same list will be for the most part true for you as well. We are all human and all have the same needs. Some of us just don't know ourselves well enough to be able to voice what they are.

Acceptance, grace, connection, companionship, success, self-determination, understanding, love, validation, competence, respect, worth, honor, dignity, commitment, significance, attention, support, approval, wanted, safety, affection, trust, hope, and joy. Now to elaborate...
