Hi folks, just peering in to see what kind of people use these services...nice to have a free one for a change but am finding that even on free sites men won't talk. Speaking of men, I'm looking for kind, affectionate, tall, my age or older, not younger, has hair (is that being picky?)I've gotta admit some men, SOME men look great bald, laughs and laughs often (but not to the point that I doubt his sanity), exercises and feels it's important to do so, doesn't smoke, refuses to smoke, hates smoking, and generally deals with life in a manner that doesn't include getting riled, red-faced, or depressed...asking too much? I think not, afterall I'm 45, been married, divorced, had children (2 they're grown) and know what I want. About me, I'm an independent woman that has been single longer now than I've ever been married so I know how to take care of myself...meaning that I mow my own 3 acres, can repair my lawnmower, can vegetables, prune fruit trees, take care of my home, minor repairs anyway, and am good with decision making. What I've found though is that I'd rather have a man around ANY DAY than remain alone. I like the company of men, the conversation, the feeling of security and being cared about, their ability to converse on topics I like discussing (meaning I hang better with men than I do women), and most of my friends are male. I'm not a gossiper, worrier, rarely get jealous, and don't feel the need to be like other women either in dress or manner....okay now I sound like I should have been a male, but I can assure you I'm all woman. I'm feminine, ladylike, weak at times, laugh alot, affectionate, tender-hearted, and know when to be submissive....I think LOL. And that's enough for this section.

**UPDATE**: I'm not one to enjoy being put on a "favorites" list - this isn't a popularity contest for me - I'm here looking for ONE man - if you add me to your favorites I'll assume for a few days that its because you intend to contact me but just don't have time at the moment. I remove myself after what I feel is a fair amount of time for you to make contact. I dislike being leered at by men who enjoy sitting back and treating this site like a peep show. Just so you know...

UPDATE #2: Sorry but I just have to add this....why in the world would any woman want a reference for a man she's interested in from another woman...especially a stranger??!! I simply don't get these men who allow other women to give them glowing references...I mean, the LAST thing I wanna hear is how SHE thinks HE's a great kisser!! can someone say UGH! LOL

UPdate #3: gosh my profile is turning into nothing more than a series of updates but here goes...if you're a "harley" dude or make the most of your free time on a motorcycle, regardless of how good you might think I'll look on the back of your bike, I AIN'T a bike ridin' babe - riding in back and peering over your shoulder for the oncoming view isn't my idea of fun. I can think of far more fun things to do than straddle a motorcycle.....LOL gosh that's loaded!

NEXT UPDATE: "Do you have a car?"???? What kinda question is that for a personals site for heaven's sake. I feel like I'm in high school or something...I mean what if I have a truck? As a matter of fact I'd like to know who all have those big duallys...now that's a truck (and you know what they say about men and their big trucks in the way of compensating), but I won't go there. BUT, I hafta say that a southern woman loves a man with a truck...just something about it. A girl gets in there and all she smells is man...speaking of smelling man - I was in the department store the other day with my mom and she couldn't tear me away from the men's cologne section....my lordy I almost swooned. She said "honey, you need a man....and you could find one too if you'd go stand out on the street corner and forget that darned computer"....I have a VERY unconventional mom....

Talk certainly, put the other person at ease if possible, laugh, and know within the first 15-20 minutes whether I'm interested or compatible with the man I'm with. I've been on personals sites and have learned that typing to each other and becoming attracted to one another is one thing but the face-to-face is a must. I put lots of stock in how my eyes and body and mind react to the sight of the man I meet. Period.
