Hello and thank you for taking the time to review my profile.
If you are in search of something other than a healthy, loving, long-term relationship, please don't waste my time or yours. Life really is too short and I don't have time to waste. Granted, it takes time to get to know someone so it starts off with dating but if you are on POF looking for casual sex or to play mind games - I am not the one for you.
I have been on and off POF for some time now. Can't seem to figure out how it can possibly be so difficult to find that special someone. That said, perhaps it's simply a matter of time.
I lost my Mom to cancer on October 23, 2008. She was my best friend, most trusted confident and my right-hand person in what I do (I rescue animals/manage the affairs of a registered charity). Without a doubt, it has been the most difficult time in my life but I am staying strong and hopeful for a brighter future. She would insist that I do so - this I know. I also lost Shadow - my beautiful/loyal companion who you see in many of my pics herein (just a month before losing Mom). She was almost 16 years old - a great age for a German Shepherd. She and Mom will be forever in my heart.

Why am I sharing this personal information you might ask? It's who I am. Very much open/honest, to the point and no b.s. here. That is also what I am in search of.
It is my goal/dream to meet that one special man for a lasting and wonderful relationship. I love living in the north and hope to buy property on the water someday. Perhaps we can build our dream home, adopt a dog or two to complete our family and share all of our wishes, hopes and goals with one another. You should like cats too as they are also a part of my world.
I have outlined my interests herein and hope to find someone LOCAL who might like to go for a walk/hike, enjoy a sunset, cook dinner and watch a movie together, go sea dooing or boating (or snowmobiling come Winter), enjoy a campfire on a star-filled night etc. etc. You must love all animals - they have a very special place in my heart and home.
NO HUNTERS, SMOKERS (or those intending to quit) OR CHEATERS PLEASE.
I appreciate someone who is reliable and reasonably organized. Also, someone handy who understands the value of volunteering their time would be awesome.
I hope I don't sound too serious. I'm actually a fun-loving person in search of someone to compliment my life. I would describe myself and a bit of a home-body but I enjoy going out too.

 | Truly an amazing woman here guys!! She is BEAUTIFUL!... Not just on the outside but the inside as well. With a heart like hers... you can't go wrong. Some people are ANGELS among us and when you are truly lucky you find youself making friends with one of them... As I did! She is sweet and gives to her friends just to see them smile, and let's not forget those 4 legged friends she adores and gives her heart and soul too!! :) I am lucky to call her my friend.
