I'm a retired Federal employee and love it; very active; no couch potato here and don't feel like I should be in my 60's; like to work in my yard; love any body of water and the mountains. I'm fun to be with; can have a dry sense of humor at times; love weekend and day trips exploring small/unique towns, antique stores, flea markets, junk stores or just a drive with beautiful scenery. I like to read when I can find the time, fish, and jet ski.

I don't want to mislead anyone. My body type is plus size (pear shaped). My health is great. I have lost about 50 pounds in the past 2 years and continue to lose slowly.

I consider myself to be a savvy, intelligent/common sense, independent (to a point), kind hearted, caring, loving, and sometimes strong-willed southern lady. I enjoy stimulating conversation and try to stay aware of what's going on in the world around me.

I tend to like the finer things in life, but I don't consider myself to be focused on materiel things. I like quality over quantity in most things. I can dress appropriately for any occasion, but am more comfortable in casual clothes.

It's nice to chat and make new friends on-line. However, if I'm lucky to find that special guy, I am looking for a best friend and soul mate who is honest, dependable, kind, affectionate, a good communicator, patient and monogomous.

I enjoy holding hands in public and flirting with my guy. I believe that when you find that special soul mate, you will experience a mutual interest and a spark of chemistry almost immediately. However, that interest and chemistry is just the beginning to building a lasting relationship, which may take give and take from both parties. However, there's always a way to work out any differences if you really love and respect each other.

Meet for a casual lunch, coffee, etc. with both understanding that there would be no problem if there is no mutual interest or chemistry for a possible romantic relationship.
