Well, here it is. My 10 seconds to convince you I'm worth your time. No pressure! It's always such a chore to fill these out, I never know what to say. Here is the low-down of my so far: went to college, education degree; taught general music for 3 years in the U.S.; moved to northern japan to teach English for 2 years; moved to Tokyo and taught preschool for 2 years, now I'm about to start teaching 2nd grade.

I'm actually happier now than any other time in my life that I can think of. I love Tokyo so much, I'm completely happy with my job and I have wonderful friends. I've been dating for the past 2 years or so, but haven't found anyone I really have a good spark with. Some say I'm too picky, but I would rather keep my standards high and wait longer than end up regretting my actions later.

I'm very friendly and I tend to get a little loud, feel free to tell me to "shut up" (as long as it's a playful way!) My Karaoke and dart skills skyrocket when I'm tipsy and then shatter when I'm drunk. I love going out with friends and enjoying their company, and hate having to choose between the last train and the first train.

It takes me at least twice as long to get over a night of drinking than it did when I was 22. I love to cook and bake, and now that I have a descent kitchen, I may do it more often. And I loath doing the dishes. I love movies and have a decent collection, and will happily watch movies multiple times and drive you crazy by saying the dialog along with the dvd. I'm a horrible speller and my computer frequently can't even get close to the word I meant to type.

I love entertaining, and I finally have a big enough apartment so I can start again! Just say the word and I'll cook dinner and let you choose the DVD, as long as you do the dishes. ;-)

I like going somewhere, seeing something new, so you never run out of things to say or get bored (in case it isn't a match made in heaven). It shouldn't be a chore, it should be fun. So I think things like, going to a festival, a game center, mini-golf, a concert, or museum are good things to do. It takes the pressure off both of you to keep up conversations.

But then again, some of my best dates were just dinner and drinks because we had a great connection and could just talk for hours. :-)
