Who Am I? I'm Alan, but "You can call me Al" (I never get sick of that song!) I'm 26, single and loving my life at the moment! I'm a bit of a goth, a bit of a hippy, a bit of a rocker and now and again I'm even what some people would consider 'Normal'!
I'm a vegetarian, partially because I don't like meat but also partially for ethical reasons. I buy organic and free range. I don't buy anything from companies who use their profits to fund research into animal testing. I recycle and use ecologically friendly products for my cleaning and laundry. I'm becoming more of a hippy with each day and I'm really happy that I'm doing my bit for the environment. I'm still learning though and getting better at it everyday!
I grew up in various places around Newcastle-under-Lyme, Stoke-on-Trent and the Staffordshire Moorlands. I used to live just on the edge of the Peak District National Park. I now call Malvern my home though and I've never been happier! I'm less than a mile away from beautiful countryside with rolling hills, valleys, trees, farms and trails. It's a spectacular place to be and I spend as much time out in the countryside as I possibly can!
I tend to be tremendously caring, sensitive and understanding - you can come to me with any problem. I'm very in touch with my feelings (sometimes too much for my own good...) I can be quite contemplative - I often look to the future and analyse the past to see how I can move forward and hopefully become a better person. I'm easy to talk to (when I'm not tired) and will have a laugh if the mood takes me.
Music is my life and often shows my mood... It may sound peculiar or clichéd but music really has helped me to get through some of the most difficult times in my life. I would be lost without my iMac as it has all the music I like on it, and plenty more besides.
I'm usually to be found in Malvern at The Nags Head. It's a great pub with great beer, food and company! When I visit Stoke you can find me in The Rigger, Reflex, Harry's Bar, The Glebe, The Sugarmill, The Underground or Flares amongst other places. I'm usually found at The Appleby in Burton-upon-Trent once a month at their Pitch Black night. Elsewhere I like Retribution in Leicester, The Wendyhouse in Leeds and Corporation in Sheffield.
What Am I Looking For?I'm not looking for anything more than friends at the moment. I'd prefer to meet new people who live fairly local (within the three counties area).
I'm looking for someone who I share some similar interests with and someone who has a positive outlook on life. I'd like to meet someone who enjoys being pampered (but not all the time!) and someone who appreciates that sometimes men do make an effort!
You should be fairly independent and have your own views and opinions. A love of the unusual is always welcome, as is a love of the great outdoors, travelling, great music and good food. I know that being a vegetarian puts some people off, but don't worry! I'm not in the least bit preachy about it, though I will have the occasional light-hearted comment to make

If you eat meat that's fine by me. I firmly believe that everyone is free to live their lives as they choose, so long as you have respect for others and the beautiful world in which we live.
I want someone who is caring and loving and is willing to really take the time to get to know me. I can be intense so you have to be able to deal with that. If you believe in astrology, look up the definition of a 'Leo' and you'll find it pretty much describes me
So Now What?If you've managed to read this far, well done!!
There's much more to me than I can possibly put on here, so why not start with a 'Hello' and take it from there?
