I'd enjoy meeting someone who would like to have conversation and share some experiences together without the expectation of finding their "soul mate".

I've been separated for two years with 2,000 miles between us.
I am open to possibilities....even long-term love relationships if they bloom...
but I do not "look" for it. Ultimately, I'd love to have a forever relationship, but again, I'm not looking for it; I'd rather it come and tap me on the shoulder. Sharing time with someone I value can be a precious thing, but I feel at ease being with and by myself....although at this point, I'd rather not be, for I'm now desiring to spend time with one woman. I'm not a player, rather, am very loyal to my friends, and any woman I become involved with; I'm basically a one woman man. I'm interested in meeting a woman who is unafraid, self secure, self-aware, at ease in "being", observant of the surrounding world, attentive to the flow of energy passing between two people at a dinner table.
I enjoy a woman who is kind, enjoys laughing, and doesn't take herself too seriously. She is assertive but not aggressive (and knows the difference between the two), can be the lady or the tramp just as easily. She is loyal to herself, her friends, family, and lover; enjoys her sexuality, sensuality, lustful side, but doesn't have the need to flaunt. She enjoys our language, the subtle nuance of words, and is articulate. Above all, she has a passion in her, but doesn't wear it on her sleeve. She can dress up or dress down, feel comfortable barefooted or in heels. She is NOT what is commonly referred to as, "high maintenance"...this is not to say that she doesn't have a sense of style, class and dignity...she has, but it's her own, and it's within her; she's no sycophant. She should love animals. She enjoys using her athleticism as well as her intellect,and is not afraid of being challenged in either area. She has a rapier wit, but is playful, not malicious, with it. I do not care about a woman's age...we all bring something to the table of interest which can enhance our, or another's, life. I think it's a shame so many miss the opportunity of getting to know someone because they're so locked into age parameters....

I love going to the gym with regularity, riding my road bicycle for long rides, and swimming; enjoy many genres of music, and particularly love listening to live music, especially blues and jazz. I sculpt for a hobby, working in stone and wood, have two dogs and a cat, love to cook for either one special person or for a group of people, and think it's fun cooking with someone. I write poetry, and long to read poems back and forth with someone, lazing in bed or some other relaxing place. I enjoy long conversations that evolve from one topic to another; stream-of-thought conversations engage and excite me, as do, at times, sprightly and playful banter sessions, engaging in mental fencing with a partner. I also enjoy being with someone who doesn't feel uncomfortable with periods of silence. I enjoy mysteries, and being surprised, and love having the top down on my car and driving, listening to music, talking, laughing, and looking at the world around us.

Politiclly, I'm a leftist liberal....right wing, conservatives would not fit into my world. I work in the field of child welfare, and have seen the underbelly of people. There is little that shocks me. But having been exposed to that darkness allows me to appreciate sunshine with such striking intensity.
