One of the most important traits that I am looking for is good communication. I am open and honest and want others to be the same way with me. I am a good listener and I express myself well. I also pride myself on my warmth, compassion, diplomacy, and ability to put myself in the other person's shoes. When there is conflict in a relationship, I am eager to work it out in a positive way. This goes for romantic relationships, family, and friends. I do well in a relationship where there is a lot of physical closeness. I am affectionate, love to reach out and touch people when we are talking.

I see the humor in everyday occurrences and love to watch people, especially children. I am also absolutely passionate about animals (pets and wild ones). I am slowly working towards a BS in Ecology, but one class a semester is about all I can handle. I have a natural curosity about how things work in nature.

I love the outdoors and think is a crime against myself to be inside on a nice day. I like walking, hiking, gardening, and nature/bird watching. I like to go to museums, concerts; the zoo is my favorite. I am absolutely passionate about animals, including pets and wild ones. I do a little wildlife rescue; especially when I see or am presented with (the kids in the neighborhood bring them to me) a sick or wounded animal. I enjoy conversation with one or more person(s), love to go to Starbucks on a busy morning and sit outside and watch people. I love to going to natural beaches where there are still birds and other wildlife to watch.

I am quite health conscious, working out regularly and trying to eat right.

As far as the first meeting, I like it to be a place that is comfortable and conducive to conversation. Probably a coffee place. I am also very comfortable when I am walking, so maybe a walk in the park where we can sit down at a picnic table to chat.

As far as the first date, I like to do something fairly active. Definitely not the movies where there isn't the opportunity to talk. A place like Reston Town Center where there is a lot going on. Walking, talking, maybe stopping for something to eat.
