About Me
Although I consider myself a renaissance man interested in all creative endeavors
such as film, architecture, art, fashion and especially music, I do have a little bit
of bad boy in me that has made life rather interesting.
First,a little bit about this my background................................I was born in Venezuela but moved to Italy shortly thereafter, where I lived until I was about 12 or 13. This is why I learned to speak Italian and Spanish fluently from Day One. My family then moved to NYC, which added its 2 cents to the mix. When I got to high school though, I started going to Italy for the summers.
The script was always the same. I would fly into Rome and then take the train down to this small village in southern Italy on the Adriatic Sea where my father is from. As soon as I got in, I would load up on some of the most incredible homemade food I have ever had. Then I'd go find my family and friends that I hadn't seen since the last time and finally crash for about a day and a half to get unjetlagged out.
Once I was up and about, I'd hang with my family and friends and check out the local happening things. But eventually,as it always did,the lure of the road always played its irresistable song in my head. Slowly a plan would take shape.
Me and whatever friends wanted to run, would pick the spot we wanted to see. Within a few days we'd pack and hit the road and the adventure was on. No return date was ever set. We rolled till we got tired or ran out of cash (and sometimes even after).
On these summer trips I got to see Turkey, Hungary, Austria, Scandinavia, the Amalfi Coast, Sardinia and alot of parts of North Africa,Spain,Ibiza,Greece,France,Croatia, in and around the Mediterranean Sea.
On one special trip, a San Diego buddy finished his 4 year contract with the Judge Advocate General of the US Marine Corps. Within weeks of his discharge, we shipped two Harley's to Le Havre,France. We then we flew over there, picked the bikes up and cruised down France and into Italy all the way down to Brindisi. We then loaded the bikes onto the ferryboat and went to Corfu and other parts of Greece. Law'd,we just fell out about the place. Straight outlaws!!!!!
These trips have left me with some powerful memories of some really kool and unique people that I met along the way, close friends and family, some of whom are still here and some who are not.
These travels have also left me with a taste for the Gypsy roadtrip that has stayed with me to this very day. And also with a taste for the food and cultural diversity of all the places I visited. They have also played a large part of my interest in the things I mentioned at the beginning of this profile. Most recently I've visited Brazil and Macchu Picchu in Peru...an incredible, mystical place. Next up for me is Argentina, and a place of particular interest for me...........India.
On a professional level, I have excelled in the legal profession for the majority of my working career and my clients,to whom I am very loyal, are rewarded by my services. I do however enjoy my free time and I work to live, not live to work.
On a personal level, I love to enjoy the pleasures of a good life. I consider myself unique, but also down to earth. I am different and original, and yet both simple and complex. I enjoy my work and success, yet I am not materialistic.
And,although I have pursued law as a career, it is not my true passion, music is. I have played music professionally since my teens and get called by different bands to cover their set list. Ive gotten to play with rock, blues, r&b, jazz and funk bands. As a result I've been lucky enough to have gigged all over the Socal area.
Some of my favorite diggs in San Diego are..... The House of Blues,The Belly Up, Cafe Sevilla, 4th&B, Cafe Japengo and, recently, Anthology.
So what am I looking for???? At this point in time I would like to embark on a new phase of my life and play out the rest of it with a woman of substance and quality so that we can enjoy the enviroment and each other, and take life to the next and best level---- a synthesis of mind, body and soul because I enjoy treating a woman the way she likes.
Some of the things I dig in life are......69' Alfa Spider, good food and wine, Vanson Leather Jackets,Gibson Les Paul, ABB, Chopin, theLouvre, pizza, thunderstorms, The Cathedral of Notre Dame, Montmatre, Baby Grand Pianos, Maine Coon Cats, Pino Daniele, Royal Purple, Manolo Blahnick pumps, Paris(in spring), Rome(in summer)and last, but not least, blue or pink toenail polish on you!
The last piece of great literature I read for intellectual stimulation is... Playboy magazine- just kiddin' and bein' a wise a--!!!!!!!
First Date
San Diego has some pretty kool spots for a first date to see if we have spark~such as ........Balboa Park,Hillcrest,Del Mar or the Temecula wine country. I also like the La Jolla Cove and the Gaslamp is always nice.
For the more adventurous I can prepare a decent dinner such as cioppino( a hot tomato based seafood broth that has fish, shrimp, clams, crab and lobster),spaghetti carbonara, paella, penne alla vodka, risotto with porcini mushrooms,a good ole steak or hamburger with a nice merlot or one of my personal favorites, king crab legs with butter, chives and lime with a nice chilled viognier~~~~~~
