Since I was six years old, I had the childhood dream of becoming an artist. Now I am an artist! Although my art career affords me the financial stability of being able to pay my bills, have money to play with, and have money in the bank to reinvest in my limited edition prints, I believe in having relatively non-materialistic values, and don't live my life for money. I'm intelligent, educated, independent, passionate, sexpressive, environmentally conscious, philosophical, compassionate, sensitive, and enjoy seeing the beauty in women, kids, animals, and nature (reminds me that life is good). I know that racism exists, but I don't believe in race. I enjoy movies at theaters, on my 60 inch sony sxrd, or my 11 foot dlp projecter, collect fine fragrances, collect nike air max and jordan shoes, like taking hikes to maintain good health, enjoy reading poetry, intellectual discussions, art related events, and I hope to have a puppy some day. Despite being somewhat of an intellectual artist, I also enjoy some of the simple pleasures of life. I was born in Duncan, BC, but grew up in Seattle, Wa. I moved to Canada to get my education. I have a Bachelor's degree in First Nations Studies from Malaspina University College in Nanaimo, BC, and I am currently working on an MA in Interdisciplinary Studies at the University of Victoria. My roots are Coast Salish, Irish, Italian, and French. I sell my work to galleries in Victoria, Vancouver, Whistler, and Seattle. My work has been exhibited alongside renowned artists of the Northwest Coast, such as Robert Davidson, Joe David, Susan Point, Marianne Nicholson etc, has been published in books from New York and Germany, and is in international private collections. "Artus" is Latin for "a JOINt in the body," so JOIN me, and we can make ART out of US!
