I am single. I am looking for SINGLE & 40+ strictly-heterosexual men only. I am loving but not co-dependent (trying not to be). I am deep but not dramatic (but i can be expressive). I am sincere and cerebral and have a great sense of humor (I was actually voted class clown of my sr class LOL). I like an honest man, a smart man but one who doesn't have to have college degree to know that he is smart himself. I like a man who is earnest, (I have an honest work ethic and would like the same). Honest with his taxes, friends and his family (if he has one, meaning kids but not a current wife k?LOL) but mostly honest to himself about life. Integrity is important to me. (Its the only thing we can take with us when we die I think). I like guy-next-door types who are perhaps self-taught, blue collar or can play that type even if you have an edumacashun. Humble yet strong. An engineer's mind in an everyman's brain if you will. I am conservative politically and liberal with my heart.

On the surface stuff:I quit smoking in May 09 (I miss it but oh well). I disdain drug habits at our age and not into piercings, three-somes or other superficial concerns. My affection for your tattoos will have to be on a case-by-case basis LOL. I am not kinky but I am sensual. To me there is a huge difference.

I may be a BBW but if you are a boob man I am not for you lol (God was so unfair LOL...what's up with THAT? ). I am of Irish/German/Scottish/English decent. Darkest Brown/Black hair with freckles (keeps me younger looking?LOL .. I am.trying to sell the freckles to ya don't ya know lol) light brown eyes...with a hint of green in the sunlight (so a priest told me so...HEY..that was soo wrong of him don't you think?::thinking back to catholic school days).

I am attracted to men who are taller than me (5'10 and up) I am pro-American (No Anti-Americans need contact) I tend to like dark or gray hair rather than blonde (I do however love Gordon Ramsay go figure I may not know what I am talking about as I love the brits and the irish and such (sigh). Not a fan of South America or the Middle East...(just never have been into the continents/areas or cultures with the exception of Egyptian and Fertile Crescent history). If you love football, I think that is a plus. If you love soccer...well...I don't know what to say...to each his own. I do not have 3 days to watch a game that has 1 pt scores lol If you love baseball, I'll watch with you during playoffs or games in person LOL or perhaps I'll do my chores and errands instead and plot how I am going to love on you later LOL.

If you don't like sports that is ok too, just have the masculine side to you as if you did and I am good to go =). If you have a deep voice..then I am in trouble =) (why must I be so weak to it??) I am not into blantant prejudice (no "n" word users need contact me). I like good ol' boys and stand up guys and weekend warrior bikers but I also like guys who appreciate art and all kinds of musical taste but no...no opera or hip-hop or techno for me. No snobs...I can't hack the social circle. Musically I like Van Morrison, Rolling Stones and even some Tony Bennett if you will (occassioally I've been known to appreciate country music too, does Lyle Lovett and occassional folks like McGraw and Adkins that I see on tv count?). I've never played an Xbox and am not into guys obsessed with it, nor ski'd or snowboarded (I am floridian)and I won't climb a mountain but will take a hike =). I wouldn't mind seeing snow for Christmas or spending it in NY one day. I'd love to see the country when I retire but won't do that by myself.

I want to work on myself a lil bit before I start seeing anyone...this has been a rough past year for me and I want to be ready for someone who is special enough to want to reach out and contact us women here...but wow is PlentyofFish a fun site or what? I will write back to you, it may take me a bit to muster the courage, I am just sticking my toes in a lil bit..its been awhile and a few bad experiences in life that I've chosen to be alone for while (never married). I like festivals, gatherings,(god do I sound boring if I am not a scrapbooker, scuba diver or clubber?) I'd love to go to concerts, I just haven't been to many lately (worked ALOT the last few years and didn't have the expendible income nor time.
If I won the lottery I'd love to head a charity or support one(or 10), travel, get fit, and bring my friends and family together and have a lovely gathering spot called home. I need 'home'...I don't have a family, I should've had one, me thinks its too late for babies, but I wouldn't mind having a life partner...I've earned that right to yearn for one.

I bring sincerity, hindsight and a high sense of self-accountability. I yearn to nurture those that want to protect me. I yearn to give to those what want to make me a priority (with the exception of children from past relationships). If you have children, they will be the most important thing, before dating, my time and your needs. I do not have children but respect that priority and love and protect children.

Are you shallow, cold, or duplicitous or like to cut with words? I am sure someone out there might want you...I don't. I am deep and monogamous (I don't multi-task) and really do desire a special connection with someone who understands and desires real depth(oh the rewards I can give for that). I need someone to inspire me...someone to aspire to and for. I don't wish to be a BBW and this protection I wear is from being alone and I am simply...tired of it Yeah...I am being honest...and sometimes that has come back to bite me because others aren't so honest.

Stymie was my favorite Lil' Rascal. If you don't know who the Lil' Rascals were...we are from different generations...ya know when there were only 5 channels on TV. I am fascinated by media back then although I don't watch much of it now...I am intrigued by early 19th Century and early 20th century media...haven't a clue why. Antique erotica is so much more erotic to me (and I am not talking 70's porn, guys LOL) perhaps because it seems so taboo. I love history but don't buy antiques. Hate 50's retro furniture. First Dates? I like to keep it simple and short (unless it goes really well and you want to catch that movie or dinner). Perhaps happy hour at sunset or coffee (I do not drink coffee (hate the taste but love the smell). I am traditional but progressive.
