Seeking a life partner who's smart, independent and confident with a quiet sensuality about her. I'm the guy next door you've always wondered about: former city-boy, now live and work in Northern New Jersey, a busy professional who also volunteers, possesses a dynamic background with many different interests. Physically I have an athletic build, 5' 10", 175 lbs., incredible blue eyes and a witty sense of humor. Highly educated, masculine, passionate, loyal and sincere. Well grounded with a military background (U.S. Marine Corps) and a very real sense of right and wrong, I'm not wishy-washy by any means. Also, while I may certainly look younger than 43 (great genes from my mother's side), I'm 47 (POF refuses to change this as my previous profile with my correct age was hijacked by an identity thief).

Some of my interests include flying part-time for the U.S. Coast Guard, Bulldogs, live music, dining out, foreign films with english subtitles, politics, cooking in, old black-and-white movies and the occasional food-on-a-stick at country fairs. In the past I've raced Porsches but now own an airplane, played ice hockey and lacrosse, and even had an invitation to try out for the ECHL. I've also piloted the Fuji Blimp once. Cosmopolitan and street-wise, I'm spontaneous and tirelessly resourceful, meaning I don't give up until I get what I want.

I've lead an interesting life thus far and have many accomplishments, but I'm tired of being single and am seeking that special someone to explore life together with, someone equally comfortable in a pair of jeans or an evening gown, to share life's daily battles with, bounce ideas off of, exchange pillow talk with, do new things together, surprise with spontaneous gifts of affection, sit quietly together enjoying the moment without feeling uncomfortable with the silence, take long showers with, spoon together on the couch while watching a movie, become the center of my attention. Someone who understands that relationships are living and dynamic and are not a one-way street but require effort from both partners to make it work. I'm a very patient person who believes the best things in life are worth waiting for.
