About me....where to start?....

I'm a country boy at heart. I'm from a small community on the South Shore of around 300 people. How does that shape who I am? I guess I've been raised to understand the importance of community and helping others. I'm a generous hearted person....I help people every chance I can....sometimes when I shouldn't. I value family. I have a great relationship with all my family members and my brothers and cousins are among my best friends.

I'm a bit of a wild man. I believe that every day is an adventure and like to live life to the fullest. I like to laugh a lot and tell jokes and don't mind making a fool of myself if it makes someone’s day. I'm wildly honest and opinionated and don't mind sharing what's on my mind.....but I'm not rude.....somehow I've managed to find a balance.

Education is a life-long journey for me. I'm an intelligent person with an inquisitive nature and a thirst for knowledge. I like to understand the world around me and like to learn new things. I've spent about 20 years in school between the traditional school system, my undergrad degree in business and my current studies in the CA program. My interests extend far beyond my field of study....I'm a fan of music (literally anything from Opera to Hip-Hop), food and wine (I love to cook and learn about food). I like to learn as much as I can about everything I indulge in.

Fitness plays a big part of my life. I've been in sports my whole life. I played hockey, basketball and ran track in high school and eventually went on to find my true love, football in university. I also LOVE to ski. Alpine and water skiing are 2 of my biggest passions. I work out a lot but it's not my life. I like to look good and feel good and weight lifting does that for me.

Ok....so this is a dating site so I should explain a bit about that aspect of my life...

I don't date a lot mostly because I'm really busy professionally and with my studies and I'm not really the type that like to pick up girls at bars....it's just not my thing. I'm a lover. I'd rather have one moment that meant something than 100 that didn't. I'd choose a night cuddling in front of a fire over a night of meaningless sex any day of the week.

What am I looking for?

I guess I want it all. I need the whole package. I need someone who challenges me. Intelligence is mandatory. I stay fit and look good....I'm looking for someone who holds themselves to the same standard. I have no tolerance for egos....I need a grounded, down to earth girl who can put up with my foolishness.

I've gone to nice restaurants, movies and other "typical date activities" but I always find the best dates are spontaneous and unplanned.....

I do enjoy staying in a cooking dinner but that's not really a first date activity....
