Whether you are a new friend or old friend, you will learn quickly that I am definitely enjoying life and all that it holds. Most days, I have a HUGE smile on my face. At work, just because I am smiling……people keep asking what I am up to. WHAT…me!!! A troublemaker or instigator….nooooo way!! (~~evil chuckle~~) I believe that a good attitude is important and laughter can cure what ails you or it at least softens the blow. Like all of you (or at least those of you who are not in complete denial) my life has had its “ups” and “downs” and at this point, we all have some life experience—let’s just assign this generic term to it for now. What we do with those experiences is up to us.

I enjoy being active and having new experiences. On days out….who knows where I might end up! Those are some of the funnest days….no schedules…no set plans…just hearing about a new place or visiting an old haunt...the journey is part of the fun. I am not from here originally, so there is plenty of unexplored territory. I am always open to new suggestions...oh yes…and I occassionally accept the services of local tour guides! (Applications being accepted…LOL) I love going out dancing, riding in the desert, seeing movies, dinner out, boating (yes, I do wear a two piece suit) and fishing. Okay…maybe fishing is stretching it a little bit…but I would go along, cheer you on and take a book to read! I like weekend getaways…but a nice week long vacation somewhere exotic is definitely on the spring time agenda.

I am a proud mom of four kids and grandma to two. This summer was hectic…two of the four were married. Some people would say, “Oh, you lost 50% of the kids this summer” and that is one way to look at it. I am fortunate though, my son and daughter that married both chose wisely, so I actually gained an incredible son and daughter-in-law. My sweet 18 year old daughter lived with her dad in another state for six months and recently returned back to me--YAY. I am kept busy during the days on weekends taking my 14 year old son to lacrosse practices and games. WOW…it is nice to have a son that is sooooo good at whatever sport he wants to participate in! It is kinda fun to have the High School coaches fighting over him….

Keeping it simple is my focus right now. I am open to having new friends and learning more about them. I am not looking for a relationship, because that is something time takes care of. My thoughts are that you need to be friends first….and the rest of it will fall into place. I love to laugh and have a fairly quick wit. If the right person comes into my life, my head might get turned. We will just have to see.

Traits that I am looking for in a man are someone that is self-assured, fun, easy to talk with and logical. I appreciate a good sense of humor and if you can't take a comeback, don't dish it out! I enjoy great conversation, love to be romanced, and can love deeply. One downfall, if you consider it as such, is I am fairly direct--not rude, but direct. I don't believe in playing mind games or manipulation of emotions. If you are jealous and/or insecure...please move on, I am not the one for you.
