Thank you for taking a moment to learn a little about me!

As it happens, I found what (or rather 'who') I wasn't looking for, in the form of an absolutely incredible person - who unfortunately will be far away for the foreseeable future, so I will have to see what will realistically develop out of that, but willing to do what I can and give it a shot.

In the meantime life goes on, and I would like to expand my circle of friends and be open to anything that might come my way (minus the "relationship" option), and let things naturally develop, and run with whatever the outcome.

But who am I? Complex yet simple, the following attributes each describe a part of me, to varying degrees.

Happy. Attempting to focus on the good things in life, the wonderful people who surround me and whom I have in my heart and life.

Funloving. Enjoying life, hanging out, laughing and joking around, playing games.

Adventurous. Experiencing new things, places, foods, customs.

Friendly. Random acts of kindness. Thinking of the wellbeing of other people. Saying something kind to brighten someone's day.

Intelligent. Having deep conversations about various matters of life and love, philosophy and psychology. Trying to understand why things are as they are.

Emotional. Involving heart and soul in the matters that reason sometimes cannot sufficiently explain.

Excitable. Letting the sparks of joy go free when something extraordinary and unexpected happens.

Romantic. Thinking of the little things that constitute the difference between the ordinary and extraordinary in a relationship.

Loyal. Coming from an ultra-religious family and being the 'Black Sheep', my friends have taken the place of the most important people in my life. If you count as a friend of mine, it means you're top of the list.

Passionate. Life and Love are matters which should never be approached half-assed. :-)

Fresh thinking. Not settling and always being mindful that life is a journey to be experienced at every moment, not a destination.

Free. I believe in personal Liberty, and that a person never becomes the property of another. That loyalty is a natural attribute between true friends. That love is earned on a daily basis and that it can never be taken for granted.

Sexual. On a core level I do not believe in monogamy, though I am free to choose it, and have at times. However, I also believe that sex can be the result of a healthy and natural extension of affection between friends, and does not necessarily require a relationship. I do not enjoy casual sex with strangers, decoupled from emotion and intimacy, as to me sex is never selfish or purely physical. I like sex a lot and like a lot of sex... provided it is with the right person and under the conditions as described above. ;-)

I would like to get to know some truly extraordinary people to develop a friendship and enrich each others lives.

If by chance things progress beyond 'simple' friendship into 'bonus' territory, I am generally attracted to younger guys, which have the right balance of physical (thin, athletic, average) and personality (empathetic and all-around nice), as I find that one without the other is really not sufficient to take that extra step. I relate well to younger people, and not equally well to older people, and the majority of my friends are under 35.

I think getting to know someone should start off with the desire to build a friendship, and leave the progression open-ended toward more. Perhaps meet up for coffee or a walk or just hanging out to know each other better. That's the start. Where it ends depends on chemistry and imagination.
