| | I enjoy intelligent/stimulating conversation, photography, learning new things, computers, reading, hiking/exploring new places or anything outdoors, home improvement, as well as many other things. Anything is fun if you have someone special to spend your time with. Anyone who would take the time to get to know me would find I would accept them just the way they are and I expect the same in return. All I ever expect from anyone is their complete honesty as everyone will always find I will be to them.
I am looking for a best friend first, who will have similar morals and values, someone who will treat all people with respect no matter who they are, where they come from or what they LOOK like. I have been separated for over 4 years; have two daughters - 19 and 14 who are very independent, work full time, but I still have time to work on a relationship if I find someone who would like to have the same kind of relationship as I do. There is no point in having anyone in your life if both people are not capable of compromise, complete honesty and can communiate well. I don't play games with anyone of have patence with people who do. It isn't hard to know when someone is not being honest.
Here is some things I think it takes for two people to have a successful relationship......
- Don't try to control each other. Walk along side each other instead of leading or following - Treat everyone with respect - Don't think of the other person as a sex toy - Don't expect something from the other person that you wouldn't do for them. - COMMUNICATE well (talk as well as listen) - Know how to compromise. - Jealousy can mean you don't trust each other enough - Being with someone who is judgmental or critical isn't much fun - Don't be overly possessive or smothering...a little may show that you care. - Be natural not pretentious. - Treat everyone as you would like to be treated yourself
When someone loves us, it teaches us love, kindness, charity, honesty, humility, forgiveness, acceptance, and all of these can counteract all the evil in the world. Man alone has the power to control the balance between good and evil, but because the lessons of love are not taught often enough, the power is too often abused.
