My headline used to say, "I seek passion, charisma, wisdom, grace" but I put it here so it fits better with the rest of what I'm trying to find.

I’m quite drawn to women with smarts, personality plus, & self-esteem balanced by an adherence to rule #6. I don’t want to date single 'til the day I die, so I seek a fine woman to grow a committed relationship into eventual marriage. That contradicts the way I've approached relationships over my entire life, but I've also changed the way I see my life.

Passionate temperaments are particularly invited to “apply.” Please note this is NOT code for emotional instability; I'm just drawn to women with a more "on-fire" personality. I’ve always been attracted to bright women with an intense nature like my own, and for that combination to work well we're required to balance it with a loving deference to one another. Of course, there’s nothing like the charisma of “making up” with the same passion expressed earlier in a spirited exchange.

OTOH, opposites do attract and so I understand that a very intelligent woman with calming qualities could easily balance my intensity - provided she was attracted to it to begin with.

Either way, I consider the prospect of romance with an especially intuitive woman as desirable & respectable.

My friends consider me an upbeat, glass-half-full kind of fellow. I love to cuddle & snuggle (what’s the difference, do you know?), & I’ve been long told I’m an outrageously terrific kisser from lots of practice (you know, we tend to do very well what we LOVE to do – LOL!). You'll have to judge for yourself how well I'll keep my promise to kiss you well - AND often.

Some of my interests: laughter, good food & wine, travel, theology, nature walks, chuckling, armchair politics, gardening, prayer, hiking, wondering about your favorite things, & more. I’m pretty smart, down to earth, degreed, witty, sensitive with balance, gentle, loving & very affectionate (a caress or a look, sudden passion, simple but meaningful gestures). Did I say I laugh - a lot?

I’ve always found women with very dark hair particularly alluring. More recently I’ve responded similarly to redheads, so I suppose my tastes have broadened (lol). Still, I’ve nothing against blondes; I'm just limited in that experience by the luck of the draw - so educate me.

I’ve been a leg man since I was @four, which I can “document” with a short, mildly amusing anecdote. However, please know that neither of these physical preferences are absolute deal-breakers. Substance counts, and I’m truly not shallow – any of my friends will tell you that!

As for you, you've got a keen wit & intellect, a strong romantic side, a genuine interest in Judeo-Christian spirituality (or you’re at least drawn to checking it out in spite of yourself), a healthy sexuality, you are well-read & life-aware, and you laugh oh, so easily. Did I mention the importance of a shared relationship with God? Well, yes, that’s in there, too. But, you know, it’s really not so bad…not bad at all…

My life has been changed profoundly – and yet not in the ways I had always feared – since the Lord brought me back to Him. I had always thought returning to my faith would mean becoming one of the holier-than-thou, goody two-shoe Bible-thumpers I used to politely avoid. I laugh now because that is SO NOT TRUE. The best part is that it’s ALL so good, and yet I’m still me! Go figure.

I don’t need a woman to fulfill me, but rather to complete me. I seek someone special I can love deeply & share my convictions with; someone ready to allow such a love to develop. Anything worth having is also worth waiting through the time it takes to build.
