I am becoming a better man and person. Life takes many twists and turns to get us where we are and life can be hard on us. Hopefully, we learn from our mistakes and become better people for it. I do hope that is where my life is taking me.

I could write about rain on the roof or long walks by the river but that will not tell you who I am. I love the sound of a distant waterfall as you approach it on a trail. The melancholy sound of wind chimes in the night. The smell of freshly cut grass and the gentle scent of rain on the air before a storm.

I am a man who has learned hard lessons and has become better and more thoughtful for it. There is love all around us if we take the time to be open to it. So, this is not so much about a search as it is about beginning a journey. I have found that completing that journey will be much more pleasant and much more of a learning experience if I have a partner to travel with me. Mostly I need a best friend. Some one to grow with me and be there in the good times and difficult times. Some one who can help me learn the lessons that I have not learned so far. Some one who will love me while I struggle with life and life's lessons.

Maybe I will find love again and maybe not. I do not want to be faulted for not trying.

I would love to find a friend, confidant and lover who will be open with me...who will TALK with me and allow me to do the same. I have been divorced for several years but did not come away hating marriage or commitment. I love quite times, the beach anytime, walking and talking, good movies, fresh tomatoes from our garden, the mountains in the winter, cooking a great dinner together and dancing in the kitchen, reading the same book and talking about it. Reading the Sunday morning papers in bed and having coffee together. Talking about what is there and reading stories to each other. I especially love cooking breakfast together. I love all sorts of animals but especially dogs and cats. There is more to me...I am happy with who I am becoming. I want someone who will complete the journey with me. A woman to share with and who knows herself and where she has been and knows the lessons she has learned. Someone to share the good times and help each other through the not so good times. A woman who is strong within herself. A woman who has had life experiences that we can share, that we can talk about and who will be interested in mine as well. A woman who can laugh with me and allow me to be open and talk about the things I have inside. A woman who can share those things with me as well. A friend with whom I can play, a lover with whom I can share myself, and a confidant with whom I can be open and honest. A woman who understands that I can hurt just as she does and can let me know when she hurts and share the pain with me. A woman who is comfortable with herself physically and takes care of herself to keep fit.
