I'm a pretty laid-back guy. I'm hard to sum up in a paragraph.

My age belies my true feelings about life. I do not feel like I'm in my early forties.

I work for an insurance company. It's a good job and I'm able to pay the bills, live comfortably, and enjoy life.

As for hobbies, I love movies. I watch all kinds of movies from comedies to action to documentaries to weird avant garde "art films". I am also a big music fan. My tastes in music aren't quite as eclectic as my movie tastes. I tend to lean towards heavier music (NIN, Kiss, Tool) but I am open to anything. I love to go to concerts and have seen acts as diverse Billy Joel, Elton John, The Police, Judas Priest, and Little Big Town recently.

I went camping for the first time recently and really enjoyed it. I'd love to do more of that. I live right near Lake Erie, so I like to walk down to the lake a lot. I also like to go biking, bowling, out to eat, and take drives in the country.

The first thing people usually notice about me is that I am very quiet until I get to know you. However, I am very talkative after I get to know you. (I am also told I am very funny...in a subtle, dry, sarcastic kind of way, most of the time.) I'm a very good listener and I have one of those personalities that seems to coax all sorts of people to tell me things they don't tell other people. I am thankful for their trust and appreciate the same in return.

One thing that I am not into is games. While I do feel young and curious about many things, I am not a game player.

I tend to be what some would call "old-fashioned" and am not a fast-mover when it comes to relationships. I prefer to let things build over time instead of hopping into a full-blown relationship right out of the gate. There are many layers to getting to know someone and I think that rushing things tends to make for a disappointing experience down the line. There's no timeline or anything. Just take it as it feels right. But even being old-fashioned, I like a woman who isn't afraid to tell me what they want and how they feel. Communication is a MUST! :)

I'd like to go out to someplace comfortable and just talk for a bit to get to know you. We can make the next move from there...depending on how it goes. I am ready for anything.
