in spite of a hectic life in a geographically inconvenient location, I like staying on top of energetic activities both indoor and outdoor (except skydiving), and can be very inventive in most of them.

The things that I like in people are variety, veracity, ingenuity, impudence, and energetic people who color outside the lines or run with scissors....although a basic level of sanity and energy is important! Archetypes are much better than stereotypes -- a preconceived stereotype may mean overlooking someone surprising and wonderful. The best matches are people (sometimes from unexpected or different places) who find a common space of mutual understanding, conversation and laughter.

The picture on my profile is intentionally obscure for professional reasons -- I already amuse my students too much.
