Hi there, I'm a fairly fit,(define fairly fit....well, in the choices I chose average since my cardio sucks lol, and I don't really want to put a cheesy shirtless photo up, especially since I'm looking for friends, but for the sake of honesty, I'm 6'1", 190 lbs and a 34 inch waist..so connect the dots), laid-back, gainfully employed guy, who enjoys a lot of the simple things in life.

I love animals (I think I live in a zoo sometimes), and spend a lot of time walking my dog, gardening, cutting firewood is really therapeutic!!

I'm getting motivated to volunteer some of my time lately, and just watched "An Inconvenient Truth", and it sank in quite deeply!!

Having a conscience, both with people and also with the world in general is something that is important to me. We don't live in our own personal bubbles, everything we do has the potential to impact others.(I almost sound preachy, but I'm not REALLY!)

Quite often women on dating sites will have lines like "where are all the nice guys", well I'm one of them. Some think nice is boring....I just think it means that you respect others and treat them like you would like to be treated.

I am looking for primarily, friends. I'm recently separated, and things are not final at this point, so it would be unfair to say I was looking for more than that at this time. Would like to have someone to talk with, go on walks, see a movie, dinner, bike rides, whatever.

Sounds strange maybe....just wants to be friends.....strange but true ;)

And no I'm not some crazy animal crusader......not all of the animals in the pictures are still with me sadly, I included them since I talk about them and people ask to see them...so there!

Not really looking to date for dating sake, but more than likely, go for a walk along Dallas Road, or maybe just wander downtown, and see what catches our interest.

I'm more of a walk in the woods kinda guy but not exactly the setting most women would feel comfortable meeting a stranger off the internet for the first time.
