I'm content cheering in the stands at a Friday night high school football game, driving along a country road in the fall with the window down, fishing by the light of a full moon, watching a storm roll down the valley or the mist rise to the treetops afterwards...or just walking, holding the hand of the man that makes me smile when I see his face or hear his voice.

We may all have expectations of what we believe to be the "perfect mate". It's a false expectation because...well...none of us are perfect! It is about patience and tolerance, common consideration and respect for each other. I'm not perfect nor am I looking for that. I would appreciate spending time with an easy going, gentleman who knows what he wants in life and wouldn't mind at all if I went along for the ride.

I appreciate a man who is confident in himself but not egotistical. Someone who knows that compassion and passion should both run equally deep and who understands that only two people need to make the relationship. No mean-spirited people or people who are purposely difficult need to read any further but... if you have a a fear of God, a fun-loving sense of humor, a good heart, enjoy the simple pleasures given us each day and an immense love of family, oh...and fishing gear (smiling), let's talk!!

If you call it a "date", there's immeadiate pressure; 'what if we have an uncomfortable silence?', "what if they're not what they appeared to be in their picture?", "what if they think I'M not what I appeared to be?"...all the 'what ifs' that make that horrible, nervous feeling in the pit of your stomach. So, the first time we meet (sounds better than "date"), let it be something simple; the park to sit on a bench and feed squirrels, the river front to watch the barges lazily roll by, these simple meetings lessen the pressure and give the opportunity to talk. How will you know if there's going to be a second meeting (you can call the second time a "date"), if you don't have the opportunity to see if you enjoy them the first time!
