My dad met mom when he was stationed in Japan serving in the Air Force. They have been married for almost 40 yrs. I'm looking for this kind of love.
I love singing, participating in community theatre, sci-fi & action movies (don't like "chick flix". I'm a multi-faceted person. My parents home-schooled me & raised me to be a strong Christian lady, & 2 think 4 myself. My mom taught me how to cook & keep house. Dad taught me how to "fix" things. What can I say?, he didn't have a son.
I grew up in an alternative lifestyle & my family & I can think outside the box...
I have been temporarily disabled due to non-cancerous pelvic cysts. So, for now I live with my folks. Before that, I was very self sufficient. I bought a used mobile home & dad & I fixed it up. It's difficult to give up my independence & I'm working hard to get it back. On the outside, I don't appear to have anything wrong with me, with the exception of a limp...
With my mom being Japanese, I'm fortunate 2 have been exposed 2 her culture...People
r the same in every country I've learned & I was raised old fashioned the way my mom grew up... a lady is the same in any country... Of course, I'm not perfect &sometimes
a girl has 2 let her hair down & have fun...haha...

I'd like to talk on the phone & get to know my date 1st. Maybe go out 2 eat & then go out for a movie! I've been a little cooped up this winter. I'm from a small town & haven't dated much. The dating shows I see on TV scare me! I'm a lady & don't behave the way I've seen some women on shows like "3rd Wheel?" & "Shipmates?". I think those are the names. I didn't like the shows, but they were on the tube when I took my lunch break @ a clinic I worked at.
I don't like to be away from home much, but I try 2 be open minded. Sometimes just staying in & eating a home cooked meal & watching a movie is just great.
But someday, I'd love to go to the ocean where they let you swim with the dolphins:)
I'd also like 2 learn 2 ride a motorcycle someday... There are so many things I haven't tried. After I'm able 2 get around better or can be independent again, I'd like 2 go 2 some new places & have fun... A nice guy may have a great idea for a 1st date that would be new for me :)
