I have decided to change my profile a bit, so we will see what happens.
Hi. I am an easy going, down to earth person that enjoys life. Yes, I am a single mom, but that is not all I am. I love kids, I like to help other people when I can, I am a hard worker, and I try to get the most out of life. I like to be outdoors, go camping, to the beach, road trips, or just hang out around home. I love a good movie or book, video games, and I like gardening and cooking. I am not into the bar scene, but I like to go out dancing once in a while.
Being a single mom does not make me desperate, I do not jump from man to man looking for someone to take care of me. I am very independent, and do a pretty good job of looking after us. I have a house that I am fixing up, a car, and a good job. I am not looking for someone to fix my life, it's not broken. I am looking for companionship. A man to share things with, talk to, date, hold hands, wake up with, and hopefully it will turn into something lasting.
I have a great 13yr old son. I am not looking for a daddy for him. Just someone that likes kids, maybe has his own, that will include him, and do 'guy stuff' with him. He is very much a part of my life, which is how it should be, and he is growing up fast, so we try to do lots of stuff together while we can.
I hope I don't sound like I am ranting, it is just that I have seen some of the forums on here, and apparently single moms have some kind of bad vibe attached to them. So I thought I would set the record straight as far as I am concerned.
I would really like to find a man that is easy going, good natured, takes care of himself, is kind, fun, has a sense of humor, a sense of adventure, likes the outdoors, likes to curl up at home with a movie and maybe a glass of wine, and also enjoys life. No couch potatoes please. Not looking for someone dragging around a lot of emotional baggage, let's leave the past in the past. New relationships should be a fresh start.
