Hey, my name is Joseph. Normally, I'm a really fun guy to talk to, but for the sake of this profile dealio, I'm just gonna lay it out as is, no candy coating or minimizing the truth. Any girl taking a serious interest in me deserves at least as much.

One, I'm on here 'cause I've been single for a few years now and I'm really tired of it. I'm not desperate, and I'm certainly not an unhappy person. I'm just lonely. I want a girl to share my life with who will always giggle at my corny jokes, always smile when I show up, always tell me how much she missed me when I hold her close and tell her how incredible she is to me.

Two, I'm shy, at least at first, and even when I do loosen up, I don't really know how to flirt to save my life. I don't exactly show a lot of confidence, but that's because everytime I've taken an interest in a girl, I promptly get shot down. I still try, but in the end, I just end up on every girl's "friends" list and that's where I stay. I don't really know how to fix that on my part, but I know there are good girls out there who aren't afraid to single a guy out. If you've got the right bait, I'll bite.

Three, I live probably one of the least exciting lives ever. I make pizza dough 5 days a week. I rely on the bus to get to most places. Outside of work, I'm on MSN a lot. I noodle around on guitar, write bits and peices of songs now and then. I like going for long walks, hikes, and bike rides (hard to do since my bike's been stolen recently). I like to read a lot, usually on the bus going to work. I sometimes do a little work on a novel I've been trying to write for years now, but it's not going anywhere fast. I'll play a video game once and a while. I avoid watching TV like the plague if I can help it, but I'll enjoy almost any movie except for serious horror flicks. Other than that, I'll tag along with whatever my friends and/or roomate are up to.

I'm a very centered, well-balanced person. I hardly ever get depressed or too excited. I like to take things slow unless there's a good reason to rush. It often takes me a full sentance or two to say something that other people only seem to need a few words to say.

I forget things a lot, I'm a bit self-absorbed at times, and my powers of observation are absolutely horrible! As a result, I seem like I'm being inconsiderate at times, or that I don't care about other people and the effort they put into things. I do care, and I do try my best to be considerate, but with a combination of vices like these, it's isn't always easy! Don't fool yourself, no guy is perfect.

As for what I'm looking for in a girl.. Well, anyone who's interested even after reading all that would be a start, hehe. Uhm, obviously, someone I am physically, emotionally and intellectually attracted to. Someone with a balanced, positive attitude. Someone as devoid of chronic jealousy issues as humanly possible, since nearly all of my closer friends are female. Someone who is likewise trustworthy and loyal even if all her friends are guys. Someone who loves cuddling to a good movie as much as they do kissing in the rain. Hehe, oh yes, and someone who is willing to wait until I'm damn good and ready for sex, and patient enough to put up with my clumsy inexperience since I've never done it before. There, I said it.

Honestly, I think first dates are a little over-rated. Anything fun and easy going is fine by me. I usually can't afford to splurge, and I'm not a chef du force by trade (workin' on it), so.. I dunno, whatever happens would probably be relatively simple. Or spontaneous, that's always a possibility too. Doesn't matter so long as it's comfortable and fun and provides a chance to talk and get to know each other better.
