I'd like to think I am a great catch, but how do I say that?! ;-) I am pretty easy to get along with; I can be funny and am not afraid to be a little goofy; I am not exactly a social butterfly, but I am not a wall flower either; I have opinions, but am not closed minded; if I like someone, I show it; I don't have unrealistic expectations and finally, I am not a mind reader and I don't expect someone to read my mind -- communication is important.

I am Catholic, and while I am not necessarily a "good Catholic," I would prefer to find someone who shares my faith.

I am originally from upstate New York -- I don't have much of a "New Yohrk" accent since the upstate is pretty far upstate: The Albany area.

In 1995, I moved to Northern Virginia and love it. I like that I can go to DC and enjoy museums, galleries or a night on the town. But I am also not far from places to go hiking and biking. I've even gone rock climbing, which I enjoy, but sadly haven't done in a while. I got a dog recently, so I am often looking for things to do outdoors with her. For more relaxing days outdoors, I love to go on picnics, even if it sounds corny!

Other outdoor activities I like include canoing or taking it easy tubing, and I love to ski. I went skydiving (tandem) last year, and it was amazing. I hope to do it again soon. My "to do before I die" list includes SCUBA, but so far I haven't tackled that. (Skydiving was on that list till Nov. 4, 2007!)

I like having fun things to do, but I am not looking to be on the go all the time -- I sometimes like to just hang out.

First date: coffee or drinks. It's the second date that I think is more important because hopefully on the first date we've established a connection worthy of another get-together. :-) I love picnics and live music, so a great date for me would be a picnic on the lawn at an outdoor music venue like Wolf Trap.
