Where to start? Okay, I am a Pennsylvania transplant who moved to Hawaii in December 2003. I'm a paralegal and work in Honoka'a and I live in Waimea.

I've never been married and don't have any children and I don't drink or do any drugs. This isn't to say that I don't have a past, I think that we all do. Quite frankly, the question isn't whether or not you have one, but how much you're willing to put up with.

I try to exercise every day, but I'm not a fanatic about it. For me it's all about progress, not perfection. I'd like to meet someone who likes physical activity, as it comprises a large part of my life. At least someone who is willing to get sweaty with me from time to time. Heh.

I like indoor activities as much as outdoor, books as much as movies, tragedy as much as comedy. I'm intelligent and articulate and I'm looking for someone who isn't afraid of having a good conversation. I'm also extremely honest about my past, present and future and I'd like to meet someone who is the same.

Ideally, I'm looking for a long-term, monogamous relationship. Though I realize that life doesn't quite always hand out ideal situations. However, I have reached a point where I am looking to share my life with someone.

Well, I think that movies suck as first dates. How the hell are you going to get to know someone at a movie? I think meeting a coffee shop is entirely appropriate for a first date. That way, if either one of us repulses the other, we can flee while they're in the bathroom. Heh. Really, though, getting to know someone over a cup of coffee is always a good start. If we like each other, then we'll move on to dinner after that.
