My name is mike, and I am a person too.

I'm working towards a mechanical engineering degree, but I am a ways off from graduating.

In my free time I enjoy making useful things out of some not so useful things. Flour into bread, aluminum cans into car parts, tires into shoes, piles of rust with bits of wire sticking out into hybrid cars... You get the idea.

I'm a mechanic at a bowling alley, and it provides me with lots of non-useful things, like broken machine parts, and all sorts of scraps left over from general maintainance. I'm content with the low pay and long hours because of this until I earn a degree and can get one of those fancy jobs where you sit down more than 10 minutes at a time.

I'm very into alternative energy. I like to build wind turbines, make my own biodiesel, and play around with photovoltaics. Sadly though, these things cost money, often more than I can spare, which you'd know If you read the peecreding paragraph corectly. Some day I hope to scrape together enough money to make my own ethanol, install a PV system on my house, finish converting my MGB into a hybrid, and just generally make a mockery of oil and coal.

I hope to start a few philanthropic businesses once I'm out of college and living off of side projects and patent royalties. Perhaps a biodiesel refinery that employs the homeless allowing them to earn their way back into the middle class. Maybe an urban farming system for producing ethanol that allows underprivelidged children to earn funds for college while helping to break their communities dependence on oil. Maybe even a few more, who knows, I've got a few years yet before I can do much towards means for my ends.

Don't try to talk to me about a band that you've seen on MTV... Ever... Not that MTV has any music any more anyway. I listen to a lot of oldies from the 50s, 60s, and 70s, as well as some underground big band/jazz and ironic speedmetal that you've never heard of, and probably wouldn't be able to enjoy.

I'm a vegetarian, not that its really a big deal these days. Ideally, I'd be a pescatarian, as I subscribe to the aquatic ape hypothesis of human evolution, and believe in giving my body the food it is designed for, but again, I'm broke.

I'm madly in love with a girl I've been dying to marry since I met her, but that's on hold until we have a place to live together. I'd spend every moment of my life with her if I could, but alas, she is busy, and has a social life, unlike me, this you find me here, looking for social life quests so I can get some experience points and some day join her on epic lvl 80 heroic raids like "parties" or "bars" instead of grinding all day while she is flying her lfm flag...
