here's the thing. i was told that dating in kansas city was difficult in your 30's. this i've found to be pretty dead on. i don't go out as often as i'd like though i really enjoy live music and make every effort to see as many shows as possible but just hanging at a bar isn't my deal. i'm a chef by trade and a music teacher by destiny, fate or what ever it is you believe that binds us all. i feel truly blessed to have a great job that i enjoy, bosses that care and loyal friends. i play in 2 to sometimes 3 bands at a time. this is a major part of my life and the person i'm looking for should be supportive as i feel i will be as supportive with their passions. well........ i cook well, have good credit, not great but getting there, the aforementioned job. i love spring sports. cycling, disc golf, walks around westport and the plaza. i love indie movies. museums. weird music. artistic expression. teaching. i dote on women. i love to try new restaurants. i read too many music magazines. i love intelligent conversation but be warned i'm smart and i'm sure you are as well and i look forward to civil dissenting opinions. i snow ski. i enjoy camping in the fall. i was a fat kid for most of my life. i eat healthier than most people as i work at a vegetarian, vegan, gluten free restaurant. i'm writing a musical method book. i've studied religion and respect most. i enjoy the eccentricities that make us all unique. wow. if you made it that far, kudos. joseph

so here's the new stuff. i played music in front of an art gallery at First Friday in April. doing it again next month. weird stuff. this month i'll be sonic sculpting and playing the drums. i also let a bunch of people listen to my songs where i'm singing ( for some reason that still makes me a bit nervous ). i'm getting insurance and my parents are sooooo proud!

i'm a music teacher/philosopher/therapist who still cooks to pay the rent. i seek peace in my life through the practice of meditation and the art of being selfless. my teaching explores the minds connection to the divine, whatever it's definition. i'm looking for someone who understands and truly accepts that their inherent flaws are what makes them unique and desirable to the right person. the one. i'm not perfect. but i know the path and believe in the rightness of it's destination. i'm allergic to drama. i understand my eccentricities and embrace them.
things i enjoy; indie films, good food, sporting events, camping ( though i haven't been in a while ). music plays a large part in my life. i would like to find someone with passion for something. a hobby is a plus........ i do need time to practice.
