I am an intelligent, serious, but laid-back guy with a good sense of humor (dry, sometimes silly). I am honest and patient, sometimes solitary, but a great lover of one-on-one conversations, especially late at night. I have been told I am spiritual, thoughtful, compassionate, kind, respectful, patient, a good listener, and a "real" person. I have a good heart and a good soul. I like to eat out, watch movies and sports (when our teams are good), and travel. Although I am currently retired, I hope to do something altruistic with my life when I find "the right thing". Right now I am trying my hand at creative writing.

Looking for an intelligent, unpretentious, good-hearted, affectionate, sensuous, loving woman to share my life with and learn from. She must be a nice person; honesty, integrity, loyalty, openness, compassion, spirituality, and reflectiveness are qualities I admire. Someone who still thinks the voyage of discovery has not docked. I grow to respect and admire women more and more the older I get and have found that women do a better job of picking me than I do picking them, in terms of the results. So my advice is don't be shy or be afraid of making the first move.

I envision a first date at someplace where you will feel comfortable and feel free to enjoy yourself. Probably a restaurant where we can talk and get to know one another. Easier if the meeting is preceded by getting to know each other a little bit here or by phone. If we click and the chemistry is good, we can be on our way.
