...ya' know?
I truly thought I was done, fini, over, online dating, and dating in general. [Insert deity name here], the "Great Comedian" apparently has other ideas for me. So I carefully dip my toes (metaphorically speaking) back in the dating pool, trying not to dive since it looks a bit on the shallow side, and I'd rather not break my neck doing so. I enjoy adventure, but would like to keep my head on straight, thank you very much.
My heart and head have largely healed from the travails, trauma and drama once again. I'm not scarred, but appreciate where I've been and still look forward to where to go. That being said, my goals are still modest here; meeting friends is a good start; after all, how can you have THE one in your life without that core of friendship? I'd be delighted to have coffee and conversation, maybe dinner/lunch and yes, I'll gladly drink wine. Should there be one of those (again metaphorically speaking) bolts of lightning that tells both of us that THIS is IT(!), then we'll deal with it positively, not running for cover. Let's just not look for real bolts of lightning on a golf course... in a thunderstorm... with golf clubs in the air, standing underneath a tree... okay? That would not be good! Thankfully I'm pretty well-grounded.
I'm intelligent, educated, attractive, have a good sense of humor, more than a little depth, and expect no less from those I connect with here, or in person.
So, with all that said, I look forward to hearing from you...

 | I always thought it crazy that there would be testimonial on someone's profile - I figured they set it up - that is my NY attitude. Well, Paul e doesn't know I am writing and I will tell him AFTER I write. He has been an unselfish friend though a few items and just for the fact that he is a nice guy. There will be no lightning bolts for us (at least I assume not) just because but this man is a wonder; the real deal and a keeper. He has been dealt from the bottom of the deck earlier this year and continues to be a great person.
If you are considering him, make sure you are not phony - he is so worth the real deal. It reinforces my belief there are great people on this site and one of them is for me!
