Through my encounters with the female gender over the past 22 years, I have reached a dangerous level of complete indifference and closet misanthropy. I have become so disillusioned with the human machines that surround me that I am reaching out for the last known bastion of (intelligent?) life--the internet. I'm hoping that somewhere out there I can find someone who isn't as boring and simple-minded as the general population.

I guess I'm supposed to describe myself, so I'll tell you what I'm definitely not.

1. I am not your life. I expect to have some time alone and some time with my friends, so don't expect me to be next to you every waking moment. I wouldn't expect you to tag along on every trip I decide to go on.

2. I am not your therapist. I will not put up with emotional head games, lying, cheating, or a barrage of your personal baggage. My advice and sympathy is reserved for times when it is warranted, and not just because you want some attention.

3. I am not just out for sex. Sure, it's a bonus, but intelligent human life and satisfying conversation will keep my interest much longer than dangling breasts in front of my face.

As for you, I expect the same level of bitterness and resentment towards men that I've expressed towards the fairer sex, and I imagine you've considered giving up on this whole "love" thing all together. I hope that you're just leafing through these profiles out of sheer boredom and curiosity, and you stumble upon this little slice of me and think to yourself "this guy gets it." Then maybe we can spend our days lying on the beach in a never-ending pile of happiness that TV and film have been hyping up since I was a child.

I am not picky, but I am fickle. My dream girl isn't found on some checklist of human qualities, but rather some general guidelines:

- Independent, confident, and doesn't need me to keep reminding her that she's not human garbage
- Has more interesting hobbies than "shoe shopping" and "hanging out"
- Has good personal hygiene and takes reasonable care of herself and considers her appearance before leaving the house
- Is self-aware and realizes when she's acting awkward or like a jackass
- Has some degree of intelligence
