Greetings fellow seekers.

I guess I should state right at the outset that I'm one of the most extroverted geeks that you'll ever meet. (Geek is defined as good with 'puters, well read and articulate.) On the other hand, I love to be on the lake, water-ski, canoing on the Pigeon River, being in bands and listening to music that nearly no one knows.

Unfortunately, the choices that they give for "I am looking for" are very limited. I guess I'm fairly undecided about what I am looking for. (Note: What the HELL is this stuff I see about "a man that knows what he wants." Sheesh, ladies. Afford us guys the same perogatives that you give yourselves.) I can, however, state that I'm pretty sure that I'm not ready for anything "serious" at the moment. Yes, I could be persuaded, after time, to consider something more. But, not at first. While this may seem limited, the good part is that, if we decided to go out, you'd have a completely stress free and no expectation date. I guess that at this stage in my life I'm not in any rush to get into anything serious. So, in other words, on the "I am looking for" question, just subtract "Long-term" and "intimate Encounter" and you'll have what I'm looking for in a nutshell.

Hmmm... I have no attachments besides to my friends and my dog. I live alone and I'm content to do so for a while. That doesn't mean I don't enjoy company or the occasional "guest." I do have a job, car, and most of my bills are current. :D

The kind of person I'm interested should be fairly attractive, in decent shape and financially independent. (This does NOT mean rich.) I'd like them to be well read and up on current events. (In other words, near geek mentality would be a plus.) I prefer someone that is NOT a nascar fan or some other brainless pursuit. (Unless it's a low brow, nearly secret pleasure. Heck, I'm still fond of "Thundercats.) I'm also looking for someone that is not afraid to have a spirited debate. (That does not mean someone that likes to fight or argue, Sorry, I don't have any time for that.)

Lastly, I've seen the following on a number of women's profiles. "Don't want a player" or something similar. Lucky you, I'm not a player. The obverse is also true. I'm not in the market for anyone that can't state what they think and feel plainly yet diplomatically. I'm also not up for anyone that will stroke my ego in order to obtain some type of "payoff." The other thing is that I'm not looking for a woman that's a "player" either. I'm a decent, honest guy that has no hidden agenda. Please be willing to meet me on the same ground.

Oh, heck... I don't know. We could do a dinner or movie, lunch, etc. Considering what I've posted earlier, I'm looking for the lowest impact setting and venue that offers a short enough time limit for both of us to be able to leave and mull over what we found out about each other.
