OK-this is not your usual profile-no fluff, just honest. I'm a 64 year old never-married conservative Christian male who enjoys simple things like going to Starbucks, walking, hiking, eating out(especially seafood), spectator sports, sightseeing, old movies from Hollywood's golden age and melodic music. I look somewhat like Denns the Menace's father(if you're old enough to remember that). I'm a friendly, reliable, reserved person who can appear outgoing at times and can be funny. In some ways my life has been somewhat sheltered and isolated, and a goal of mine would be to grow closer to people and use more of what God has given me. I like to get to know people slowly and to share about our lives after awhile. When I was a boy I used to listen to my Dad's old 78 r.p.m. records to entertain myself so my musical tastes are largely from before my time(big band, standards, easy listening, show tunes, barbershop, choral, ragtime) and I'm a Bing Crosby fan. I also like old hymns. I'm a member of an Independent Christian Church in South Sacramento and serve as a greeter there. In a previous church I also served in the home communion ministry to shut-ins. My faith and church are Bible-believing(non-charismatic). I'm employed as a seasonal ballpark worker and also help out my sister's family in transporting my nephews to school, etc.(this 2nd job is only for food though-will work for food). I would like to connect with a Christian(Bible-believing, born-again) woman in the Sacramento area who would be comfortable with go-slow friendship and for activities and be willing to share about their life after awhile. Someone simple, down to earth, compassionate, a careful spender, and honest. A person not seeking status or overly concerned about impressing others. It would be nice to have more friends in the Sacramento area for fellowship, friendship, and activities(I moved here 4 years ago from San Jose after my parents died to be near my sisters). Politically I'm conservative and enjoy conversing about a wide variety of topics(current events, history, theology). I try to eat healthful, although I'm not a good cook(Mom didn't teach me). In recent years I've learned some ballroom dancing and enjoy it a lot. Perhaps you'd like to participate with me sometime or learn. I enjoy singing to a dance partner(although one lady thought I should keep my day job). Looking for those who want to do things God's way(they're not perfect, of course as I'm not either) and want to be honest and reliable. Someone who is not overly focused on finding or being in a relationship but wants to appreciate what we've been given and be real about who they are. I'm neither a couch potato or super-active, I'm in between. I'm perfectly content just going for a walk or window shopping and talking. I don't have to be entertained. I live rather simply and havn't accumulated a great deal of "stuff". I try and be honest on my profile as I'm not comfortable in pretending to be something or someone I'm not or in making promises I can't fulfill.

It would probably be nice to meet at Starbucks for coffee and conversation and perhaps even a walk.
