I've been here in SF for a couple years now; I previously lived in Tokyo for a few years. Originally from Australia (grew up in Malaysia too), but you won't pick the accent ;) I live and work in the city, love it and don't take for granted how fortunate I am to be here. I'm looking for someone who loves life as much as I do, is authentic, easy-going (I am from Australia :), and has a sense of humor.

I went to piano lessons for eight years (yep, a very common Asian rite of passage), and am probably one of the few who's glad for them now - I've had a digital piano in most places I've lived, and am glad that making music is a part of my life. Musically, my tastes are fairly broad, ranging from classical, jazz, to J-Pop (let me know if you're in the mood for karaoke :), pop/rock and trance/techno. I love Keith Jarrett (an eye-opener after classical piano lessons), Ken Hirai, Astor Piazzolla, Saosin, The Killers. I love sports - basketball, tennis and squash, and spending time in the gym. And reading - I recently rediscovered my love for reading - thank you, Malcolm Gladwell.

A few other random facts - I had Lasik done last year; it's hard to even imagine now that wearing glasses was a part of my life. I bought curry bear in a can in Japan. I was allergic to alcohol until 4 years ago. I speak (and miss speaking) Hokkien, a Chinese dialect that's almost the same as Taiwanese.
