Things I enjoy include days and nights out in Manhattan, a bit of salsa with a live band, the right bottle of wine with dinner, opera at Lincoln Center and of course Shakespeare on stage.

I also like the occasional monster movie and watching episodes of "The Boondocks". It is crude, downright offensive but it is also a very astute, intense examination of cultural interaction . . . and it's just damn funny.

What I find most attractive is someone with a broad vocabulary who also knows how to let her hair down and enjoy herself.

I have a BA in English from Rutgers University. I work as a journalist and I also write fiction. It is a Jeckyll & Hyde existence but I am determined to excel on both paths.

I don't own a microwave because it would turn me into a lazy cook. I live in the middle of NJ yet my MTA MetroCard looks thoroughly abused.

I once auditioned to be a superhero on TV. My mother considered disowning me for that.

I have since threatened to climb down into the Grand Canyon. Get the rescue helicopters ready.

I am playful because work is so serious. I am kind because the world is harsh. And I love passionately because the wind outside can be terribly cold and I want you to always feel warmth.

So what's your story? What motivates you? Have I stood out? That is the goal after all, to find the one who compels your breath. And you don't really want HIM to sound like every other guy who is out there . . .

What do you say? Ready to blow this pop stand? Yeah, I am this corny in person.

I guess I want to find someone who will care about knowing WHO I am (my goals and aspirations) more than focusing only on WHAT I am (my profession).

So stop me in my tracks. Make me want to put my foot down and say this is where I want to stand. We won't know until we know each other how it might work.

Because I like to see you dressed up in heels doesn't mean I am dismissing your strength as a woman.

There is a difference between a first meeting and a first date. At the first meeting you are seeing who this person is face-to-face and guaging what you find interesting about them. It can be a lot to take in. Drinks, dinner, or a walk in the park are good ways to start.

If you hit it off , then you might move on to something more fun. Lively. Make each other laugh. Having fun together lets you get to know each other. So let's hit a comedy club. If we get along, perhaps go dancing later that night.
