I want someone to share with, not to take care of me or for me to take care of. I listen and try not to judge. I'm honest, loyal (to a fault), independent and somewhat shy, but can also be playful and flirtatious. I know how to be romantic, fun, loving, sociable, kind, and attentive to a man who captures my interest. I do want the kind of relationship where we can't keep our hands to ourselves. Someone I can whisper to when there is no one else to hear or share a thought with no more than a look between us. I would like someone who can agree to disagree, has their own opinions and allows me mine. Someone who can draw out those hidden feelings or thoughts and not be critical of them. Someone who has a sense of humor, as well as a sense of wonder about the world and a willingness to try new things. I realize saying I am shy is a contradiction to being an extrovert, which I apparently am. I have a sense of humor along with a willingness to try new things. I accept people for who they are and do not expect anyone to change. I understand that change is a part of growing and is inevitable. I love my work, but I have plenty of time for someone else and feel the right person would enrich my life. I am comfortable spending time alone, but currently share my life with a few dogs, horses and a couple of barn cats. I am very active and on the nights I am not dancing, I walk two miles in 36 minutes. I scuba-dive, snow ski (I have a Mt. Shasta 2009/2010 pass), hike, backpack, camp, ride horses, flyfish, and make wine (a newer hobby). I like to dance to swing, rock, salsa or country music. I have a passport and travel out of the country yearly. I often travel alone, but would like to travel more with someone to share it. I have an IQ well above average and enjoy the company of intelligent, well-educated people. I am not concerned whether they are self educated, well read, or have a degree. I love to dine out, appreciate good food and new culinary experiences. I can build a fence, flip a ewe, or trim a horse, but can't stay clean doing it. I can cook and clean, but feel it should be a shared responsibility. I see Malls as something you visit when you need something, not how you spend your spare time. I love kids and although my daughter is grown, I don't mind being a partner to someone with children. I like men who are intelligent, outgoing, honest, sensitive, hard working, and secure with themselves. I want to explore the world of others and for them to explore mine. I am ready for new experiences and adventures... I'll just have to see what is out there...so surprise me and show me what I have been missing or just share a cup of coffee and conversation, friends are important too. I seem to find more friends as I date, than a match, which I see as having enriched my life. I don't try and make every contact the one and only, nature does that for us if it is meant to be. I look for a friend and am delited if I find more, but I am never disappointed.
I don't look or act my age, there is too much of life left. People often seem surprised to find out my age and usually comment they thought I was in my early 40's.

Well I like to meet for coffee first. I have found that meeting for coffee at the end of the day gives me something to look forward to and injects something special into my week. We have so many wonderful coffee houses here on the North Coast. This will give us a chance to see if we have an interest in each other. If we like each other and have found we do have an interest, we can move on to dinner and more conversation. Dinner could include Sushi, Italian, Mexican, Thai, East Indian or just Hamburgers. Something new and different would also be good, after all we are exploring here aren't we.
