I like long walks on the beach, sunset dinners, candlelight, clubs, Blockbuster nights.....

I'm joking. But how many profiles do I have to read that start out like that??

If you're reading this, then you've already done more than most of the girls on this site who go right to the pics. When I read something that moves me, I'm going to at least take the time to write a few sentences.

It's impossible to get a feel for anyone at first sight, first date or first month for that matter. I'm on here because my best friend and cousin met their wives this way and I decided to jump on on a whim. Thought I would give it a shot. Why not? At least if I do meet someone, I can always lie and say we met at a pottery class.

Living life day to day...to the fullest. That pretty much sums me up in a nutshell. I believe that life is short and we should all follow our dreams and most of all, follow our gut. My reasoning for putting up this profile is simply because I know there has to be more out there for me...not a problem with meeting girls, just the KIND of girls I do meet! PLEASE be: compassionate, worldly, articulate, educated, interesting, musically inclined, athletic, passionate, spontaneous, adventurous, personable, intriguing. That too much to ask?

I love my job as a special education and phys ed teacher/athletic coordinator for Manhattan/Bronx (just switched fields from Wall Street) and having an impact on children with disabilites has fulfilled me far more than sitting at a desk trading stocks, to say the least. I also volunteer at a children's hospital (I know, it's starting to sound a bit sappy..but I've been volunteering at a burn center/accident recovery center in Valhalla for a year or so and fell in love with the kids there), Although my band broke up and my former drummer is in Vegas with a kick ass new project of his own, I still write and perform acoustic sets here and there.

I played college sports (track and field and basketball) and love to do anything new...I have driven cross country twice, lived in California and Florida, I surf and snowboard constantly, I've spent the summer in Greece and Europe, but most of all I value my family and friends (NO those are not three girls I just picked up at a club (in my pics)....they're my little sisters) and have, in the last year, realized how much my family and friends mean to me. But enough about me.

If you're still reading this then you can at least write to me if nothing else but to share horror first date stories...(we all have them) I've always been friends with all of my girlfriends first, so I'd rather just hang out before any overly-romantic endeavours. Besides, it's hard to get to know someone with a mouth full of chicken cacciatore.

(This is starting to sound more like a classified ad with every line) I am looking for someone whom I can inspire and be inspired by. A girl I can learn from, who can put me in my place as well as she can listen. Someone not afraid to take risks, and not afraid to live. Someone not afraid to dream. A girl who doesn't consider walking down 5th avenue an aerobic activity. Someone who I can call at 5 in the morning with some random nonsense and she'll listen. Someone who, when I'm with her, will make me love who I am. And she loves who she is around me. Okay, I just realized I may sound a bit cheesy on here, but oh well. These are the things I want. Life is too short to settle.

Anything but dinner. Too cliche and boring....maybe a hike? Although that may be a bit scary considering we met in cyberspace. Okay, coffee??
