The first time I had surgery was at 1 year old

When I was a boy, my mom referred to me as her man child

A girl kissed me for the first time in kindergarten

In the 3rd grade I was asked to go steady by a beautiful long blond haired 6th grader

also in the 3rd grade I got an art scholarship for my portrayal of fire in Crayon.

I was a patrol boy in 6th grade.

I took to drums at age 14 like a duck to water. Actually probably better than a duck to water.

I was a photographer all four years in high school

I was often ribbed for using "big words" all the time in high school

I played tournament frisbee and tournament billiards

My first career choice out of high school was Law Enforcement.

I've had more than a couple of near death experiences including a car wreck where I should have been hash browns.

A sweet old lady picked me out of a parking lot to ask for a ride home because it was really hot. I thought that was sweet and was happy to get her home safely.

My last name is of English descent.

I was once accepted by the National Bodyguard Network (Madonna, Michael Jackson etc)


ok, John Lennon wrote a little book called A Spaniard in the Works. He was English. I'm not really a Spaniard, but you know, work with me people!

Living Wide in a Narrow World. Thats the title of my best selling autobiography. When I write it and it becomes a best seller. Actually if I could find a ghost writer that would be better.

I'm a guy who has been down that road before, up and down that endless black ribbon, that tunnel of love. And I've managed to maintain a positive attitude about love, about life, liberty and the pursuit of softness. I'm caring and loving I like to hold hands in public and kiss and hug and all those things you do when you love someone. I love crazy insane laughter. I love that look in a woman's eyes just as she's about to kiss you.

I am a down to earth person, big on communication and understanding. I'm living life, playing the cards I've been dealt. And it's not always wine and roses but still I have more to be thankful for than not. I am looking for someone to share her life with mine. They say behind every great man is a woman. Well I'm looking for that woman. But you're a great woman too and I want to stand behind you.

I have a myriad of interests, from outings at the park to the symphony. I love art. I love human expression in general. The passionate kind. I like to play that crane thing as you leave the store and if I win a stuffed animal I leave it in the machine for an unsuspecting kid to find. I am a deltiologist, which means I collect post cards, and every time I come across the remnants of a baby bird's eggshell I collect it and save those too. I'm just weird, man!

I love to cook, love a clean house, but I dont obsess over it. I love Thrift Stores. I am most often found in Jeans and a t-shirt or a nice button down, untucked. But I OWN a tuxedo. If you're a compassionate maverick of life that doesn't judge a book by its cover, then I'm looking for you!

You thrive amidst the unconventional. You can look like Mary Tyler Moore or have dreadlocks just be OPEN TO any and all possibilities that lead to HAPPINESS. Your strength is demonstrable in your demeanor. You can out think most people but do not feel the need to. You love animals, nature and me. :) I am not opposed to relocating but because of what I do I would prefer somewhere in California or New York or where there is a decent music community. and I need room for two pianos. haha.

I am into health & fitness, eating right, even if it means just going for a vigorous walk now and then or actually working out with weights at home WOW what a concept. I love food. lol I also stay in shape by continuing to do martial arts fast walking other boring stuff like that. I would enjoy having someone to go hiking with and be active. I played street basketball as a teen with the school varsity players (and yes I skunked their butts from time to time), but when everyone else was playing football, I was doing martial arts and reading philosophy, and playing my drums. But as a compromise if you can throw a Frisbee decently, I'll gladly go to a sporting event with you, if you like that sort of thing. I am not really a proponent of video games after the age of 25.

Music is my life. I'll say that again. MUSIC IS MY LIFE. So it would be really cool if you loved music way more than the average bear. I'm a gentleman, I know the meaning of chivalry (I hate those darned automatic sliding doors; you cant hold those open for women!), I know how a woman likes to be treated and how she likes to feel.

By "Mixed Race", if you're curious, I mean I am Apache, English, German and Spanish. Of those four I only speak English.

I am pulling out my CD collection right now and writing what's in it. Louie Armstrong, U2, Peter Gabriel, DEVO, Beatles, Zappa, Jeff Daniels (yes the actor), Tori Amos, the sound track to Twin Peaks Firewalk with me, Tom Waits, Sting, the Who, Tom Petty, Coldplay, Ray Charles and Dean Martin, lots of different stuff.

My favorite movies are: The Muppet Movie, The Jerk, Princess Bride, Bram Stoker's Dracula, Immortal Beloved, Shine, Shindler's List, As Good As It Gets (bonus points if you cry more than once during this movie), Ground Hog Day, Pollack, Basquiat, Dragon: The Bruce Lee Story, Magnolia and more!

I have to laugh at some of these qualifiers. "Must not be looking for friendship?" Um, I'm looking for a friend for life so you're darned right I'm looking for friendship. "Must not be looking for intimate encounters?" Oh hell, no. haha I'm looking for many beautiful intimate encounters with the woman who will love me. "Must not be looking for activity partner?" Well uh..yes again ...lots of activities because hopefully if you love someone you want to do things with them HELLO...this isnt rocket science people! I also like women who aren't afraid to make the first move, no matter if you're a traditional or non-traditional type woman. And I tend to like women who, even if they wear make-up, dont always have to. Kudos to all you women out there who admit they like bowling! hey its fun! As is Putt Putt Golf.

One other thing, there’s so much more to a person no matter how long or short their profile is, and a little kindness goes a long way!

something odd and different...everything else is so done. something so different and interesting it could be an andy warhol exhibit. who cares really...what I hope for and I hope everyone else hopes for is no matter what we do we click and theres that chemistry that is mutual and it causes us to slam into each other with a kiss that could only be saying thank you for filling that aching empty part of me so well. At this point I'd be cool with someone in Austin who can throw a frisbee good. Really.
