New York born, self-made, deal maker, strong intellect, prodigious reader, great conversationalist, news and political junkie, acerbic wit, secular humanist who practices mindfulness meditation, a good and faithful friend, empathetic, sensitive and forgiving, a would-be gourmet cook, avid golfer, dog lover/owner, traveler, loner, rugged individualist. I enjoy fine wines, single malt scotch and a well-crafted vodka martini. Despite all that, I work out regularly and enjoy a very healthy and physcally active lifestyle. Everyone tells me I look far better than my photos.

I take pride in my Jewish heritage, but I am completely secular in my world and spiritual views. Think of Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens, but also Eckhart Tolle and Jon Kabat Zinn. I have found that Buddhist teachings have a lot to offer the open heart and mind. I don't do well around negativity. I am a socially libertarian liberal who is fiscally conservative, kind of like Bill Maher. I hate hypocrites and narcissists.

I seek deep, witty, intelligent and intimate conversation. I like to crack jokes, sometimes sardonic, sarcastic, and sometimes snarky. I seek close and intimate friendship, frequent close companionship, laughs, warmth, affection, intimacy and tenderness, trust, sincere and clear communication, not a lot of drama and no game playing, and mutual respect for each other's personal autonomy and independence. Honesty and mutuality in a "co-interdependent" relationship. I'm open to meeting and life-partnering with a unique lady of intellect, feminine grace, independence and personal integrity, emotionally stable, earthy, sophisticated and savvy, a sense of humor, open-minded, nonjudgmental, youthful in body and soul, and pro-actively sensuous. A woman who knows herself, her body, what she wants, and who tactfully and, most importantly, truthfully says what she means, and means what she says. The poet John Keats wrote, "Beauty is truth, truth beauty, that is all ye know on earth, and all ye need to know." Also, Woody Allen once said, "The heart wants what it wants." So please be TRUTHFUL ABOUT YOUR AGE AND YOUNGER THAN ME, and local to Los Angeles.

I would much prefer to live contentedly single than unhappily coupled. I do not seek someone to live with; I seek, mostly, someone who gets me, and who will be my last, best and final lover/friend/companion whom I cannot live without.

Dessert and coffee at someplace like the Urth Café. Then, if we enjoy each other, perhaps a round of golf (if you are hopefully so inclined) or a Sunday afternoon at the Getty. I know a really great little Italian Deli Bistro in West LA. Then we'll see if and where it goes from there.
