I have a passion for live music (adult alternative, classic rock, folk), especially at small venues where the audience is only a few hundred. I love surfing.

I am a long distance trail runner, not fast, but I'm patient and finish. Catalina Island is perfect for this... It's all up and down over winding dirt trails. The big challenge is fitting the running into my schedule. Lately, I've been giving my legs a break and swimming more. I've been having a tough time finding a swim partner that can hold up a good conversation during the workout (glug, glug, glug...). ;-)

Hey now, some people (I guess women in the online dating world) are telling me they're intimidated with the athlete thing. You don't have to be hardcore or share that interest at all. Would you be intimidated by an orchestral musician or novel writer? It's just one of my loves. It's the chemistry, values, ideals we share that counts, right?

Peter Gabriel, U2, Norah Jones, and Natalie Merchant, are some of my favorite well-known artists that come to mind. Some are lesser known: Venice, Donna Delory, Paula Cole, Alexi Murdoch.

Food! I can cook up a good meal for two, but also enjoy a dinner out. I have some killer roasted tomatoes, pizza from scratch, and pecan rolls that do better than Cinnabon's. I bake cakes on camping trips. I'm working on a mango salmon dish, interested?
