Should you decide to take the time to read this, and the opportunity to get to know me, you will find that I am a very honest and upfront type person. So, I will start by being that way here as well. I have been married and divorced three times. All ended with infidelity on their behalf. I am a very monogamous and faithful partner, but have had a hard time finding the same. With that said, I am not currently looking for a wife. I won’t say that marriage is completely out of my future, but it is definitely not in my five year plan. I do not mind if you have children, but do not want any more of my own. So, physically, I have made sure of that. I don't see myself slipping into a father role, but I can be a best friend and mentor. Now, with all that said, I am not looking for a good time, a friend with benefits or a one night stand either. I am searching for a long term meaningful relationship. Someone to share my time and life with, and fill the void that exists.

I have been asked many times to describe myself. So, here goes. I would say I am very intellectual, deep, intelligent, sexual, affectionate, passionate, loving and caring. If any of the aforementioned adjectives bother you, please speak now, ask for an explanation, or forever hold your peace. Don’t question something later that you had a chance to understand now. I am also very spontaneous. I like going places and doing things just for the heck of it. And, I love a good road trip. I rarely make plans unless it is important or needs to be scheduled. So, if you require weeks of strategic planning and global notification in time to get ready to go somewhere, you'll probably miss the boat.

I retired two years ago after 25 years as a Firefighter/Paramedic. While I had very fulfilling career, successfully raising two daughters is by far my greatest accomplishment. I now work as a part-time Manager for a major company, and own my own custom construction business. When I am not working, you can usually find me relaxing on the dock or the boat. I live on the lake and spend a lot of time on the water. It’s my favorite place to be. I also enjoy playing music, and play with some friends from time to time. I have been a husband, father, and worker for the past 25 years. I am now looking to kick back, relax and enjoy life a little with that special someone, something I have never really gotten to do.

What am I looking for? I am searching for my best friend. The person I can share my thoughts, feelings, and life with. The one I can truly trust and feel comfortable around, and who knows me without question. Someone I can tell how I feel, share my fears and weaknesses with, and not have it held against me, or thought of indifferently. The friend who will understand I make mistakes too, and not judge me for them. Willing to relinquish forgiveness, rather than stockpile those mistakes as ammunition for future battles. The partner who will rejoice with me in my triumphs, and be willing to stand strong and shameless during my defeats, not leaving me to weather the storm alone. The woman who takes my breath away every time I look at her, and puts a smile on my face each time she comes to mind. The reason I’m late for work because I chose to lay next to her for just one more minute. The lover who takes me to heights I have never been. My last thought before falling asleep and my first memory the next morning. One of the reasons for being the best me I can be. This is the one person I would really like to meet. I may never find that person, but I’m sure I’ll make some good friends along the way. I know what I want, and am not going to settle for anything less. I'll know when I find her.

A friend once asked me what I wanted from life and love. I simply answered with this.

I love just because I do, not because there is a reason to do so. The reason is simply the catalyst that fuels the fire inside.

Maybe cruise up to one of the local marinas for some good food, drinks and live music when the weather permits. Then a moonlight ride home. Or, one of mine or your favorite hang outs. But, I am pretty open. Especially if involves the outdoors.
