English by birth but Canadian by choice. I have three sons and one grandson (waiting for lots more!). I love a broad range of music from Classics to Country and I sometimes sing and play the guitar (not too well!).

Although I still love to travel, it's the shorter trips I take now as I'm also becoming more of a homebody. Mind you, there are still a few places around the world I'd like to see.

I was involved in amateur theatre a few years ago and I still love the smell of the greasepaint and the roar of the crowd.

I would like to find someone who is very happy at home - but sometimes has the itch to take off for a couple of days. A good cook would also be nice!

I should take this opportunity to say that I am not a golfer or fisherman - and I am allergic to cats (or should that be the other way round?), but love dogs.

As you will see from the photo, I am also non-photogenic. I would like to mention that all photos of me, since childhood, look nothing like me!

This is difficult - but I think a drink in a pub would be a good start. If there seems to be some kind of a spark then perhaps a low-key supper might be appropriate. My date's choice might be for a restaurant - but, depending on the level of "sparkiness" it might be nice to pick up a Chinese and eat at home. We'll have to see what develops.
