Humanist by nature, I believe we all possess innate qualities that guide us through this wonderful thing called life! I'm a true people-person and have a great family and wonderful circle of friends that I truly adore, a great career (not a job!) and would like to complete one more part by finding someone (and being found!). I've had my fair share of heartaches - but hey, who hasn't?! To err is human, they say, right?! (and really, who are THEY?!!).

Travelling is high on my priority list and have visited a ton of really great places in Europe, the Middle East, the Islands and Africa (anyone care to discover Australia and Asia with me?!!). I speak several languages, some much better than others and enjoy a bit of everything. I also have a bit of a wild side but do know how to contain it (when needed of course!). I like challenges (seduce my mind) and being treated as an equal; good company and learning new things are key. I have a reflective nature, so even when alone, rarely get lonely.

People are who they are, take ‘em or leave ‘em.I've discovered that from life and from all types of relationships - it's a give and take thing if it's a one-way street, you usually wind up at a dead end. Chalk it up as experience and go forth. I suppose like many, I have had my share of dead end relationships, but I continue to believe someone is out there, someone who could bring to a relationship the world seen from a unique perspective... perhaps it's you?!

One thing - no picture, no response - sorry but fair is fair! Ok, really, the last thing; while I'm truly flattered by the great (and not so great) messages I get, I am looking to meet someone close to my age (a few years, more or less) so no, not one of those women that is into much younger or much older guys! Everyone knows, first dates are usually awkward and it is really ok to just go with the flow, it is not a job interview :-) Being with someone who acts like himself and vice versa is a great start - location is secondary. The best first date is one that leads to a second and third ...

I would like to meet someone who is through with bs - who knows what he wants out of life and isn't afraid to go after it - someone strong-willed, sensitive and caring, perfection is definitely not a criterion. Someone who truly has a "been there, done that" (maybe even bought the t-shirt!) attitude and can be himself - let's simply check the pretences at the door. And no, not looking for anyone who looks like Brad Pitt or Tom Cruise - you know what they say (there THEY are again!) - beauty is in the eye of the beholder! A great sense of humor however is a must and a zest for life would be nice too!

By the way, not looking for chat buddies - time is too precious to waste hours getting to know someone through a computer screen - if the desire is there to meet then as the Nike slogan says, just do it!! If you see any of yourself in the above description, I would love to hear from you!
