I enjoy gardening to attract butterflies, baking, bicycling, hiking, volunteering, networking, reading and visiting wineries. I am independent, resourceful, financially responsible, kind and smart. I am passionate about traveling and am working on visiting all 50 states and more. I like to run around but also enjoy staying at home. I enjoy a walk in the woods.

I am celebrating turning 50 all year - by trying new things and meeting new people. One of my most recent adventures was a hot air balloon ride to celebrate my son's and my birthdays.

My profile name comes from a once in a lifetime event that occurred about a year after moving to the current residence. I was fortunate enough to have my property be on the path of the migrating monarch butterflies - thousands of butterflies flying through the yard and roosting in the trees. Very awesome! I was even on the local news. Have visited the wintering site in Morro Bay, CA where monarchs west of the Rockies go, but have not yet visited the Yucatan in Mexico where butterflies east of the Rockies go
