I've been an actor in New York City (the 80's) and Los Angeles (the 90's), and a TV news anchor/reporter in Chattanooga, TN (after graduating from University of Florida) and again in the lovely Upstate New York hamlet of Elmira (first half of this decade). I grew up in beautiful downtown Linden, New Jersey in the heart of the Northeast Industrial Belt (you may have heard of our wonderfully expansive Exxon Petrolium plant), but moved to South Florida when I was 9 (with my parents). I left Florida after college and came back full circle 25 years later by moving back to the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale area (dad died 3 years ago...lookin' out for ma), where I'm happily auditioning for TV once again (Miami sure ain't LA, though).

I don't miss the recent winters of Upstate New York, but I do miss the quiet of small town Elmira. Things like no traffic, parking spaces close to where you're going, and no lines at the bank or post office. Of course the flip side is I ran out of things to do there after like two weeks, so I had to drive hours to New York City for fun.

I have a good sense of humor, and see the humorous aspects of all situations. I have a great love of animals, am generous, and enjoy the feeling of sharing. I have an understanding of psychology and emotions in both humans and animals, am honest, and like to get to the heart of matters. I'm up on politics, liberal, and understand that what's good for all of us is good for each of us.

I know it's fiction and might not actually work in real life, but I like what they did in Neil Simon's "Chapter Two." A man and woman in their 30's/40's talked on the phone several times, liked each other, and decided to meet for a "look." After 5 minutes, either one could say they didn't think it would work out and the other would not be offended and they would part company amicably. Of course in "Chapter Two," they meet and after 5 minutes both say something like "No, I'm good" and go on to have a great date and fall in love.

As is the case with Neil Simon, there are plenty of laughs to go around on that first date, and for myself, humor would be essential to an initial meeting with a woman, be it at a coffee shop, bookstore, restaurant, bar, lovely outdoor plaza area or walkway, beachside cafe, or any other venue that would make my date and I feel the most comfortable and at ease.
