I'm a marathoner (ran Chicago and Boston in the last year) who loves any excuse to be outside and active. Graduated from a fantastic school that I re-visit often (very close to my heart), where I majored in astrophysics and math. Right now I'm weighing a career in academia (the current path) vs. a career in the private sector. For the time being I have a pretty sweet job working for the finest X-ray observatory in the world.

Friends will refer to me as a "gourmet baker" (an exaggeration). I can easily burn 4+ hours in an art museum on the weekend. The last great book I read was Nabokov's "Lolita". The urge to travel is in my blood, whether it's backpacking our nation's National Parks, driving cross country, or exploring Greece, Turkey, Spain, and the Canary Islands while on science expeditions. Some hidden skills include golf and horseback riding (gave these up in college to be a track and cross country runner).
