Hi there. I lived and worked in Japan for five years and, although I've been back for awhile now, it's still interesting to find your way, and work your way into the fabric of a city like NYC. . .and I'm from here! ;) Friends get married, have kids, and do the general moving on with life thing while I was away. . so I thought I'd see what an online ad would bring. I am easy going and am the type that will try anything once. It's very important to me that the person I spend time with. . .whether it be for dating or something more serious. . .like to learn. She also must be. . .well. . AROUND! ;) I don't ask for much. In this insane city getting together once a week (if you enjoy hanging out together) is, to me, the bare minimum. Not too much to ask, right? (One would think!) LOL!

She must be questioning. . .wanting to learn and explore and grow. As far as I'm concerned, that's what we're here to do. I love trying new things, traveling, going out to eat, the theatre, concerts, comedy clubs. . and try to take advantage of all the city has to offer and it'd be nice to be able to do that with someone and see what happens! Write back and say hi! And please. . have a photo, or have access to one. I think it's fair to say that there should be that initial physical spark to set things off. I am all about trying new things. I LOVE the beach, and am really into stunt kiting. (A kite with two or more lines.) I'm certified in Pilates and used to teach it, but not anymore. I run my own business, and love anything having to do with philosophy, martial arts, boxing, travel, cooking, reading and things like that. Keep me away from book stores because there's NO WAY I will walk out empty handed! It's also important that someone has goals in her life--advance in her career, go back to school, or whatever. Please read this next part carefully: I am NOT into dating women who love to pretend they are busier than they really are. Guys are no doubt just as guilty, but lets face it. . .if you want to make the time to see someone... you will. It's that simple.

It's not the place, it's the company. Drinks and good conversation to see if there's chemistry. Simple!

But, if you're the type of person that always, without fail, MUST go to the latest, greatest places and would never been seen in your local hangout or whatever, pass me by. I like that as much as anyone from time to time, but if you're that type of person ALL the time, it says a lot about you. . and it says to me that we're definitely not a match.
