I'm really good at talking about myself!
I'm a displaced Torontonian temporarily living and working in the bustling metropolis of St. Catharines, Ontario. People are always shocked by this move and question my motives. So I'll fill you in on the background material:
I got my undergrad at UofT in architecture + art history. Then I went straight into grad school where I got my master's in urban planning at York. When I finished my thesis, I realised that for the first time in my life, I didn't need to be anywhere specific. I had no obligations. I was free! Having spent six years studying examples of European art, architecture and cities, I moved to London, UK just for kicks. I spent 8 months living and working in London and traveling around western Europe as much as I could afford. When poverty motivated me to move back to Canada, I was an unemployed bum for months until I was able to charm my way into the planning biz here in St. Catharines. They made me an offer I couldn't refuse so here I am, for now. I miss the 416 and do intend on moving back eventually. Fortunately, I am able to spend most weekends there, thanks to the limitless generosity of my friends and their futons.
I'm a bit of an artist. When people see my paintings on my walls, they always ask 'Who did those?' ME, dammit. :)
I'm starting to realise that I'm inadvertently sacrificing my personal life for my professional life. I'm fairly outgoing and good at meeting people, but I haven't met anyone I've wanted to date since being here. I heard about this site on a doc on the CBC one night and thought I'd check it out.
Apparently, I should mention that the phrase 'straight acting' is a bunch of internalized, homophobic BS. :)
I'd love to meet a guy who is smart, into his career, able to form complete sentences and has a great sense of humour. Physically, I like a thin guy with a great smile.

I remember dating...
I think.
I like to be outdoors for a date, somewhere fairly quiet where we can actually converse - beer on a patio, wine on the beach... needless to say, I don't date much in winter. :)
