If it weren't for physics and law enforcement I'd be unstoppable. I'm new to Seattle. I moved here 4 months ago from Memphis, TN. That's right... I'm from next door to Arkansas. Yes I wear shoes, yes I can read, no I don't own a pair of overalls, I've never even held a banjo, Deliverance kept me from camping for 3 years, I've heard of indoor plumbing, and NASCAR doesn't excite me AT ALL. Now that that's out of the way... I'm a Merchant Marine Captain. I play with boats for a living. I left my TV behind when I moved out here, and after 4 months I don't miss it at all. I'm reasonably well educated. Once upon a time I was going for a Political Science/ History double major. I'm pretty well read and rule the world at trivia. There's bars in Memphis that won't let me play anymore because the teams of 25 people don't like losing to a chubby, scruffy smartass like me. When I'm not at work (which is only 1 or 2 days a week in the Summer) I like to get outside. I like camping, canoeing, all that stuff that everybody likes but never really does. I'm one of those. I drive with the top down and the doors off of my Jeep at every opprotunity. I like boating for fun, even thought it's what I get paid to do. I love live music, dive bars, dogs, kids, people watching, photography, and aimless driving. I moved out here for a new life. I love the South, but there's no opprotunity there. I'm ambitious, driven, and am out here to make a name for myself. I'm looking for someone who shares some of my interests. You don't have to share them all, I'll keep a couple of them for myself. Intelligence is a must. Hygiene goes without saying. A sense of humor and a sharp wit would probably be helpful, or else you'd be ready to strangle me halfway through the first date.

Sailing is a good first date. When I say sailing, I mean drifting around on the lake having lunch, checking out the sights. I'm pretty creative when it comes to dates. I try to break from the norm, dare to be different.
